Family-run hotel, all staff are very welcoming and friendly.
There is a bar/restaurant on site next to the pool which serves good quality for food for a fair price and is open 8am-10pm daily. They also offer room service (at no extra cost) which is a bonus. There is also a small shop on site with basic groceries (food, toiletries and other essentials) which is open 24hrs a day which came in handy, although slightly more expensive than other shops in town.
The room was clean and in good condition upon arrival, and cleaned/replenished frequently throughout. Had everything we needed. The shower doesn't have a full door/curtain so the floor gets quite wet after using it but otherwise no problems with the room.
Free WiFi is available on site and is generally alright however can be temperamental.
Aircon was not included so the room did get quite hot at times, but just about manageable and saved €10/day.
The hotel is located on a large hill and all shops/the beach is a 30minute walk. The hotel does offer a free shuttle service to and from the beach, 3* a day, which was an added bonus and something we didn't know about before coming.
The pool was lovely and hygenic, we always found sunbeds, however alot of them don't have shade or an umbrella.
Overall a great hotel, lovely staff the 3* rating doesn't do it justice!!

Our experience was okay. Would probably not stay again but was good for our holiday and first time to Rhodes.
Pros:
- staff were extremely lovely and welcoming. Couldn’t fault them at all and they really made our holiday.
- small shop which made it good for snacks late at night, beers and cigarettes and was reasonably priced.
- location was great and was around a 15 minute walk into Faliraki meaning it was easy to get to and from at night (the road there was well lit meaning you felt safe to walk at night)
- a little bar that was open very late so if you didn’t fancy going out but wanted to relax and have a drink this was available to you.
- rooms were cleaned everyday and we were offered new towels. We had an incident with a smashed glass in the room and this was dealt with promptly.
Cons:
- room was incredibly basic and I felt didn’t really like what was on the booking website. There was a few incidences with cockroaches but this is likely because there are bugs outside not an issue with cleanliness. However, the room is what ruined it for me. Additionally. The walls are paper thin so you could hear chairs moving, switches being turned on and off, toilets flushing and you can imagine what else going on at very early hours of the morning meaning it was difficult to sleep.
- the food that was included wasn’t really that great. It might be personal preference but the breakfast was mostly sweet bits meaning I didn’t really feel satisfied in the morning and the dinner was not a very large selection without only 1 main offering and was often cold as was served 30 minutes before and placed under a hot lamp that wasn’t really effective.
- had to pay an extra €10 per night for air con and the rooms were borderline unbearable heat wise at night.
All in all my stay was pleasant but if you are looking for a couples/semi peaceful break away I would not visit as there are often large groups of drunken adults or large families around (night and day) with nothing much to occupy young children meaning that it gets very loud and un relaxing at times. However I feel this was my mistake booking a hotel that wasn’t specifically for couples.

We stayed at Hillside Studios for 10 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The accommodation is basic but had everything we needed for our stay. The bathroom shower did leak over the bathroom floor due to a broken panel seal (there’s no shower door), but it wasn’t a major issue — we just used towels to manage the water.
We had booked a double bed but were given two singles, which wasn’t ideal, but again not a big deal for us. Air conditioning is €10 per night, which we were happy to pay considering how affordable the holiday was overall — and it was definitely needed. Although on the easyjet website it did say air conditioning was included in the price.
There’s a small on-site shop that’s very convenient, even though it’s slightly more expensive than shops in town. The food served at the hotel was reasonably priced for what you get. The pool area was clean and well-maintained, and getting a sun lounger was usually no problem, however there are minimal sun loungers that have shade.
The hotel runs a free shuttle into town at 11:00, 15:00, and 17:00. We felt a later one around 18:00 instead of 17:00 would’ve been more useful. Walking to town takes about 20 minutes via a dirt road, which we didn’t mind, but future guests should be aware as at night time its dark and Taxis back to the hotel cost around €10 for a 5-minute ride, which adds up if you’re heading out often.
The staff were lovely and helpful, though paying by card sometimes felt a bit awkward, with a clear preference for cash, especially for the aircon.
All in all, it was an okay stay. If you’re looking for a simple, budget-friendly base and don’t mind being a bit outside the main town, this is an option to consider. If you want more comfort and accessibility id look elsewhere.

We had an amazing holiday here.. all the staff are very helpful and friendly, yes there are MINOR issues, yes the floor gets wet when showering, put a towel down (problem solved), yes the food isnt extravagent (but all tasty). We had the room cleaned every day, and fresh towels and bedding every 2 days... for what you pay thats expected!! If you want a 5 star hotel, go pay for one instead of a budget holiday.. we would defo return here 100%
