I am extremely disappointed with my stay at Grupotel Marítimo and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.
The location of our room was absolutely terrible. It was extremely noisy because we could constantly hear the kitchen from the dining area, and the room was located directly next to a very busy main road.
There was also a very unpleasant smell on the balcony on many occasions, which made it impossible to relax outside.
The rooms are incredibly poorly insulated. During the first two nights, I could barely sleep because I could hear every door slamming, every shower being used by neighboring guests, and even the loud water pipes throughout the building.
To make matters worse, I was greeted very rudely at the reception when I asked if it would be possible to change rooms.
Regarding the dinner package that I paid extra for, I was initially told that the charges would simply be assigned to my room number and settled at the end of my stay. However, this morning, a waiter approached me and asked why I had not paid for my dinner the previous evening. This was both embarrassing and completely unprofessional, especially since I had followed the instructions given to me by the hotel staff.
Overall, this has been one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had. Between the noise, the unpleasant odors, the lack of sleep, the unfriendly service, and the poor communication among staff members, I can confidently say that I would never stay here again and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

Very nice hotel. Nice clean room with good bed, balcony, satellite tv. Fully equiped bathroom. Water pressure however is very poor. The rainshower head is completely absolete due to the lack of pressure. No coffee or tea maker in the room. That to me feels as a great miss. Very friendly staff everywhere. You are assigned a table in the restaurant upon arrival, which stays yours during your stay. Other hotels should take this into consideration! Plenty of choice during breakfast. 3 swimming pools, plenty of sunbeds. Towel service and a bar next to one of the pools serving drinks and snacks. I had quite a pleasant stay.

We had a delightful stay at Grupotel Maritimo during our vacation in Majorca. There were numerous positive aspects I would like to emphasize regarding our time here, but I also wish to bring attention to some areas that could be improved. To clarify, these less favorable points were minor, but I felt it was important to mention them as they might be more significant to others considering this hotel. The bar staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming; they are dedicated and ensure their guests have a wonderful experience. However, I cannot extend the same commendation to the dining room staff, particularly the waiters. For the initial two days at breakfast, we were kindly offered pots of hot water for English tea. On subsequent days, we consistently had to request this, and on one occasion, I approached a waiter in a staff-only area to ask for hot water. She instructed me to wait a moment but then immediately directed me to "go over there" while gesturing me away. I found this interaction to be impolite and unnecessary. I would be perfectly content to retrieve my own water if the appropriate containers were provided. On another occasion, we chose to dine in the hall for dinner, and midway through our meal, a waiter approached us to request payment, rather than allowing us to finish our meal first.
The hotel rooms are very well-maintained and clean; however, the beds were quite firm! I experienced back discomfort every morning. The walls are also rather thin, making it quite easy to overhear conversations from neighboring rooms.
The communal areas were also well-presented and very clean. While not a major concern, it is worth noting that smoking is permitted anywhere outdoors at this hotel. As a non-smoker who is also pregnant, it was not ideal to frequently be seated near individuals who were smoking. The hotel might consider designating specific smoking areas as a solution. Overall, the hotel was impeccably clean and boasts an excellent location, conveniently situated near the beach and various shops.

Great goal in a superb location, very clean room, comfortable bed, full range of international TV channels. For an extra star, USB charging ports would be great for people like us who left their chargers behind 🤦🏻♂️. No car park, but lots of parking is available right outside. Very helpful staff, and unlike so many hotels, the breakfast was actually great value for money. We'll happily come back!

Me and my partner stayed at the Grupo Maritimo for a week. I’ll start with the negatives to get them out the way but there are very few. Our biggest issue were the rooms and the bed. The walls are very thin so you can hear your neighbours and if like us, your room is situated by the elevators, you can hear them too. I would just suggest bringing a pair of ear buds with you if you are a light sleeper. The beds are very firm and the pillows not the best so just bare this in mind also, but this is probably personal preference. The breakfast, whilst it did have various choices we found there were not too many traditional English breakfast items but that’s maybe us being picky. A special mention to Miguel who was on the Egg station and pool bar all week. He was incredibly friendly and a pleasure to be served by! One thing I would say is that as a late 20s couple, the general vibe of this hotel is catered towards an older crowd so if you are looking for a bit of atmosphere and similar age groups, perhaps look elsewhere. They do however run activities throughout the day and always have evening entertainment on so there is definitely enough to keep people busy.
Onto the positives - the staff are exceptional. They are very friendly, will always go out of their way to say good morning to you, and no task is too big for them. There was a good incentive for money to be spent at the bar should you choose not to have your room cleaned every day, but instead choose alternate days. The pool area was brilliant. We never once had to worry about securing a sun lounger and on multiple occasions, we would return to the hotel later in the afternoon and still had choice of where we wanted to sunbathe. There are 2 large pools which were never crowded, and also a children’s pool. The location is excellent also. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach, a 2 minute walk to nearby shops and supermarkets, and a 2 minute walk to the bus stop which was our transports to Alcudia port and the old town. If your flight home is later in the day, you can keep your cases in the hotel and the staff will provide you with towels and shower facilities so you can still enjoy your final few hours in the sun.
Overall we throughly enjoyed our stay at Grupo Maritimo and we would stay here again should we return to Alcudia. It definitely lives up to its billing as a 4 star hotel. Thank you to the staff for making our stay
