Our family recently stayed for 3 nights at Grecotel Creta Palace following its full renovation reopening, and from the moment we arrived it was clear this was genuine hospitality at its highest level.
From the warm welcome at the gates to the seamless arrival experience, every staff member made us feel sincerely cared for. Elena handled our check-in beautifully, offering refreshments and a thoughtful overview of the property, while Georgios, Assistant Food & Beverage Manager, stood out throughout our stay for his warmth, professionalism and genuine kindness.
We stayed on the LUXME All Inclusive experience in a Family Garden Room, which was perfect for travelling with children. The room was beautifully renovated, comfortable and well laid out, with thoughtful touches including a minibar, coffee machine and separate space for the children. Being close to the kids club and second pool made family travel incredibly easy.
What impressed us most was the consistency of service across the entire resort. Every interaction felt warm, attentive and effortless without ever being intrusive. The balance between luxury and family friendliness is done exceptionally well here.
The children loved the kids club, nightly entertainment and pool areas, while we appreciated the calm atmosphere, excellent dining and thoughtful details throughout the property. Breakfast was outstanding each morning and the Greek hospitality genuinely shone through every part of the experience.
A special thank you also to Maria from Guest Services, Sophia at the spa, Ana at the salon and the wonderful team at Agreco Farm who made my birthday celebration feel incredibly memorable and personal.
As a family travelling full-time and regularly staying in luxury hotels globally, Grecotel Creta Palace exceeded many experiences we have had worldwide — not through extravagance, but through authenticity, warmth and exceptional people.
An unforgettable stay and without question one of the warmest luxury family resorts we have experienced.

We are truly beyond grateful to the entire team at Grecotel Creta Palace for giving us such an unforgettable holiday. We have travelled to many places around the world, but we have honestly never experienced hospitality quite like this.
Every single member of the staff was warm, genuine, incredibly helpful, and exceptionally child-friendly. Travelling with a young child can sometimes be challenging, but here we always felt welcomed, supported, and cared for. No request ever seemed too much, and every question or small problem was met with kindness and an immediate solution.
We would especially like to recognize Despina from Brasserie Ariadne. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and truly heartfelt approach to guests are simply outstanding. She represents hospitality at its very best, and we are sincerely grateful for her kindness, dedication, and impeccable service.
If we could, we would mention many more names, because every single person we met contributed to making our stay so special. The level of service throughout the hotel is nothing short of exceptional.
The food deserves a special mention as well: every meal was delicious, and the desserts were absolutely incredible. Combined with the breathtaking surroundings and beautiful atmosphere of the hotel, everything came together to create a truly memorable experience.
Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We sincerely hope to return one day, it would be an absolute pleasure to stay with you again.

We had a wonderful 7 night stay at Grecotel Creta Palace. It’s located on a beautiful stretch of sandy beach and a 10 min taxi into Rethymon town. The one thing that stood out to us about the hotel is the staff; they are so friendly, warm and welcoming especially in the the à la carte restaurant.
We found the food really good across all restaurants and our favourite was the à la carte for lunch. The drinks and cocktails are top quality.
We had a lovely cleaner who was fantastic and our room was always cleaned to a high standard. We had our baby with us and the hotel provided items such a bath tub, changing mat, high chair, etc which made such a difference.
The hotel interiors are stunning and they have renovated the hotel beautifully.
Overall it’s a hotel we would definitely return to in the future.

We have just returned from a fantastic 7-night stay at Grecotel LUX ME Creta Palace as a family of three with our 5-year-old son, and overall we had a wonderful holiday.
The hotel is beautiful, with immaculate grounds, a lovely beach, excellent pools and a relaxed atmosphere that made it incredibly easy to unwind. The staff throughout the resort were warm, friendly and genuinely welcoming.
The entertainment exceeded our expectations, especially the evening magic show, which was a huge hit with our son. All three à la carte restaurants were excellent. The Italian, Greek and Asian restaurants each offered high-quality food and great service, making them real highlights of our stay.
Before we arrived, we contacted the hotel to let them know my wife would be celebrating her birthday and that we are a vegetarian family. The hotel thoughtfully surprised her with a birthday cake, which was a lovely touch and made the occasion even more special.
As vegetarians, the only area where we felt there is room for improvement is the lunch offering. Breakfast and dinner provided a good selection of vegetarian dishes, particularly after we shared our feedback during our stay. However, lunch remained quite repetitive over seven days, and clearer vegetarian labelling would make choosing dishes much easier. We really appreciated how professionally the Food & Beverage team listened to our comments, apologised and genuinely took our feedback on board.
Overall, this is an excellent family resort that offers a relaxing holiday, fantastic facilities, great entertainment and outstanding service. We made some wonderful family memories here and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other families. With a little more variety for vegetarian lunches, it would be close to perfect.
Thank you to everyone at Grecotel Creta Palace for a memorable stay!

This is a fabulous hotel. Newly renovated, great rooms, friendly staff, fabulous breakfast, and a new waterpark.
So why the 3*?
1) The waterpark is not able to be used by kids under 120cm (or 110 on an adults lap) which is not clear on the website, so needs to be more visible.
2) There are not enough sunbeds around the pools. This leads to people 'reserving' sunbeds from ~7am in order to ensure they have them. So if you arrive later in the morning there is nowhere to sit. In July this is annoying, in the height of the season it will be a real issue. And apparently often is at Greco resorts. There is also apparently a 30minute grace period for people to return to their reserved seats - this is not publicised to or honoured by guests. Greco needs to address this problem by: adding more beds (there is space, but they are trying to create a spacious vibe); putting notices about not allowing the reservation of beds with towels / the 30min grace period (will probably be ignored, but at least it can then be explicit); adding a free booking system as experienced on a previous holiday where you were able to have assigned beds for your whole stay (Olympus Resort, Paphos) - for this they need more beds.
We stayed one night, but had an incredibly unpleasant experience with a rude, aggressive man who turned up to claim 'his' beds 45 minutes after we had arrived. He had eventually 'reserved' 8 beds for his family of 5! And we had to get staff involved to speak with him about his aggression in front of kids in the family pool. I am sure the staff don't constantly want to deal with towel wars, and neither do people who have paid a lot to stay at this hotel, so the management really need to take action so people can relax and enjoy their expensive stays!
