Staying at Elba Hotel was honestly one of the highlights of our trip. The whole resort is right by the beach, which gives you that true holiday feeling from the moment you arrive. The pool has a stunning sea view — we could have stayed there all day just relaxing and taking it in.
Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well looked after. The staff were absolutely brilliant — friendly, kind, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel completely taken care of.
What made the evenings special was the live music in the lobby most nights. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of good vibes — it really added to the overall experience and made every night feel memorable. And breakfast was simply amazing: fresh, varied, and full of delicious options to start the day right.
We do wish that spa access had been included in the stay, but even though we paid separately, we enjoyed it so much that it was worth it.
We already miss being there and would happily come back again without hesitation. A truly beautiful place with great energy, amazing service, and memories we’ll definitely carry with us.

We stayed in the hotel in January 2024. We took a suite on the 5th floor. It was an extraordinary room, huge with great furniture, massive closet space, large tub bath, separate shower, enormous loggia. The bedroom was excellent.
The breakfast was very good, the parking ample. The swimming pool was heated.
The beach is great as a nature spot and for the sea but I am not sure about swimming. When we stayed the wind was constant. Also the area has mosquitoes.
The soundproofing is not that great.
We liked the city of Estepona, its historic center and the seafront promenade. But the it's too busy and built-up. The hotel is a pleasant retreat further away. It was nice in January with minimal number of guests.
Overall an excellent comfort and a great place to rest.

We had an incredible day at Elba Estepona Gran Hotel & Thalasso Spa, taking advantage of their spa + lunch combo package—and it was worth every moment.
The spa was spotless and beautifully maintained, offering a full range of hydrotherapy experiences. Multiple jets and jacuzzis with different temperatures and pressures made it incredibly easy to unwind, and the entire circuit felt thoughtfully designed. We loved the variety of wellness rooms—from dry heat to aromatic steam—and the calming environment made it effortless to disconnect.
What really stood out is how peaceful the spa feels. Being so close to the sea gives it that mild Mediterranean climate that instantly relaxes you, and many of the treatments are rooted in true thalassotherapy, using seawater to enhance the restorative experience. Beyond the hydrotherapy pools, there are unique features like pebble foot baths, cold-water plunge, aroma showers, hydro massage areas, Roman thermal spaces, and even an igloo room—each offering something different for the body and mind. Everything felt clean, modern, and truly therapeutic.
After the spa, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch, and we have to give special recognition to Leo and Fran, our waiters. Their service was excellent—warm, attentive, and professional—truly elevating the experience.
Starters
• Croquetas de Jamón – perfectly crispy and creamy.
• Langostino Tempura – light, crunchy, and full of flavor.
Main Dish
• Seafood Paella – rich, aromatic, and filled with fresh seafood.
Dessert
• Chocolate Cake – decadent and satisfying.
• Mandarin Sorbet – refreshing and bright, perfect after the paella.
Finished off with a smooth café con leche.
Everything—from the spa facilities to the meal to the service—was top-notch. Highly recommended if you’re visiting Estepona!

Nice hotel. Layout a bit complicated when using the elevators. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Breakfast and dinner are buffets. Which are nice. Massages at the spa were great. My friend had cockroaches in her room. It took 2 days to get her another room. My room was clean though.

I stayed in this hotel last August. I was excited because it was rated well and pictures looked nice.
However, for one, there are cockroaches in the rooms. Absolutely disgusting.
The hotel is also in some disrepair. Flooring by the adult pool was pulled up in places, the lounger beds had rotting wood.
The food is also terrible. We had dinner at their upscale restaurant one evening (never again!) and it was for sure microwaved. A shame because it was probably nice the first time it was cooked. All in our 4 person party agreed. The breakfast included canned fruit-- in August when produce is at its peak? Bizarrely cheap.
When we brought these problems to the hotel desk they were pretty unconcerned.
Otherwise the staff is pretty agreeable and generally friendly.
I honestly don't understand how there are so many good reviews because our stay was a major letdown and we will not return.
Most people complain about the birds and sure they're annoying but not anywhere near the biggest problem this hotel has.
