We travel for vacation about every two months and usually stay at Marriott Bonvoy hotels, so our expectations were quite high when we arrived at Domes of Elounda after a 1.5-hour drive from the port.
The view was absolutely stunning, and our suite with a private jacuzzi and pool was beautiful, perfect for relaxing. However, the resort is very large, so we had to call a buggy every time we wanted to go anywhere. Even the kids’ pool was quite far from our room.
For dinner, all à la carte restaurants were fully booked without a reservation, but the buffet restaurant was open. The buffet selection was quite limited, and there were almost no baby-friendly options, so our 1.5-year-old daughter had the food we brought from home.
We took a buggy to the area near Antonio’s Italian Restaurant and then walked about 10 minutes to reach great restaurants just outside the resort, like Giovanni’s, where we also found cute local shops.
Breakfast was nice but almost the same every day, so it became a little repetitive. We have stayed at W Kuala Lumpur before (for less than half the price), and their buffet had many more choices, so we couldn’t help but compare.
The Kids Club is a great idea and perfect for parents who want some relaxing time, but our daughter was still too young to join. I think children aged 3 and above would really enjoy it.
Overall, the scenery and staff were wonderful, and with a bit more variety in dining and easier access around the resort, it could be a truly amazing place to stay.

A Truly Memorable Family Stay at Domes of Elounda
We spent a wonderful week at the Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection, as a larger family group of 14 adults and children. It was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.
The staff made all the difference. Everyone we met was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and service-oriented. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our stay. From restaurant reservations to housekeeping and guest services, every interaction was marked by warmth, professionalism, and a sincere desire to make our visit perfect. A special thanks to Sara, our concierge from the Haute Living Room, who helped us with every question we had and made all arrangements smooth and effortless. Her support added an extra touch of comfort and ease to our stay.
The resort itself is stunning — beautifully maintained with breathtaking views, comfortable rooms including a large private pool, and a wide range of amenities that made it enjoyable for both adults and kids alike.
We truly felt at home and very well taken care of. Our time at Domes of Elounda was memorable in every way, and we look forward to returning soon. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for a special, relaxing experience in Crete.

Just returned following a family holiday to celebrate a significant birthday. We had 10 in our group with ages between 6 years old and 81!
We had a brilliant time and found the hotel to be exceptional in terms of facilities, food and service. Service was the best we have experienced in Europe - friendly, genuine and so helpful. Special shout out to Petros who was very kind when one of our children had a flare up of her chronic condition. He even arranged for food to be delivered to our villa as we couldn’t get out to eat.
Despite the age range, everyone found something to enjoy - gym. Football sessions, beach and water sports or trips to Spinalonga. We were on the dine around plan and the food was very good and plentiful and we also enjoyed the private lounge for snacks. The accommodation was superb and housekeeping friendly and frequent. Two minor bits of feedback - Breakfast at Blend needed an extra toaster and wine/ water at meals was London prices and felt excessive. Apart from that, brilliant stay and thank you ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Domes of Elounda. The resort is beautifully maintained, set in a stunning location with a fantastic beach that’s perfect even for small children. The entire property has a calm, refined atmosphere — you never have to rush for a sunbed, guests are relaxed and respectful, and the overall vibe is very peaceful.
We had the half board package, and both breakfast and dinner were excellent. Breakfast options are mostly the same each day, but everything was fresh, tasty, and of high quality. Dinner offered a smaller but well-curated selection that changed daily — delicious, well-seasoned, and something for everyone. The service throughout the hotel was exceptional: staff are genuinely friendly, attentive, and always smiling.
Our room was spotless, cleaned multiple times a day, with fresh towels and restocked amenities — truly impressive housekeeping. The pool area and facilities are also very well kept. The hotel is definitely family-oriented, with a dedicated kids’ buffet in the evenings and a very warm attitude towards children.
The only real disappointment was the kids club. Unfortunately, parents are not allowed to accompany their children (except for a short midday slot), which makes it impossible for families with little ones who don’t want to be left alone. It’s a real pity — our son was looking forward to playing there, but the setup simply didn’t allow it, and the space often remained empty as a result.
Apart from that, everything else was top-notch. For families and couples looking for a luxurious yet relaxed beach getaway in Crete, this is a wonderful choice. If the kids club concept were improved, this would be a solid five-star experience.

Our small villa (with 10 others) was situated in a separate area to the remainder of the hotel. Adults only. The view was fantastic and the buggy service to the other areas of the hotel was really quick and efficient. Our room was very clean and well serviced.
All the staff we met we really terrific, nearly all spoke excellent English. Our stay was made even more enjoyable by the consideration and attention we received from Leni, (Eleni) one of the duty managers. She was exceptionally friendly and helpful and always had a smile.
There was a big selection of dishes for breakfast and the buffet dinner was also good. The Blend Steak restaurant was also really good, the steaks were great.
