Our stay at the CM Castell de Mar was absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is fantastic, but what truly made our experience unforgettable was the incredible staff.
Every single member of the team was kind, attentive, professional, and always ready to help with any request. They genuinely make you feel special and welcomed from the very first moment. It’s rare to find such a dedicated team that consistently goes above and beyond to ensure guests are comfortable and happy.
Without a doubt, the people make all the difference, and this hotel is lucky to have such amazing staff. A well-deserved 10/10 for their attention to detail, professionalism, and outstanding customer service. We will definitely return!

The hotel is located on the first line by the sea and offers a beautiful sea view. It is a quiet and peaceful place, perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The food in the restaurant is of good quality. There is a swimming pool on site, and many shops, clothing stores, car rentals, and leisure spots are located nearby. You can exit the hotel directly onto the beach. There is also a large promenade nearby, ideal for morning runs or yoga sessions.
I had a small issue during my stay, and Sasha at the reception solved it immediately. Her smile is absolutely charming. I also interacted with another friendly girl during check-in and a polite young man at the reception — all the staff were very welcoming and helpful.
The restaurant menu changes every day. The waiters are professional and attentive without being intrusive. You can ask them to prepare something specially for you.
The rooms are clean, and the towels are changed every day.

We recently stayed at CM Castell de Mar and, as returning guests, we were really looking forward to this visit. Unfortunately, this stay was quite disappointing compared to our previous experience.
Although we had contacted the hotel in advance and received a kind and professional reply from the team, the follow-up on arrival was not as expected, communication seemed disconnected, and the service felt impersonal. The room we received was very noisy, located right above the reception and near the bus stops where tourist buses arrive and leave frequently. In addition, the balcony door doesn’t close tightly! it only seals in the middle, while the sides remain slightly open, which lets in noise from outside even at night. The bathroom had a strong chemical smell and visible mold, and the towels were worn and had holes.
When we shared our feedback, the response we received felt generic and focused on “next time,” which was frustrating since we were still staying at the hotel.
On a positive note, the food is excellent, and we truly appreciate that some meat options are halal. However, it’s confusing that while all other labels are written in English, German, and Spanish, the word halal appears only in Arabic, which isn’t helpful for guests who don’t read Arabic.
Overall, it’s disappointing to see a hotel with such potential and a great restaurant lose its personal touch and attention to detail. With more genuine care for guest feedback and better maintenance, Castell de Mar could easily return to being one of the best hotels in Cala Millor.

We were there in May with my husband and our 9 year old son.
When arrived we got Welcome drink.🍹
The hotel is very nice, fresh smell everywhere and clean.
When we checked in, we got the room and it was disappointing when we saw the view because we specifically asked for a full sea view, but the roof of the lower building was in it and it really ruined the view. We went back to the reception and explained our problem, they completely agreed and we got the perfect room right away.
The reception communication was so professional and quick.
Breakfast and dinner were very delicious with a wide selection.
Dinner had a different theme every night. We loved Every day there was a different themed dinner.Number 1 the American night.😃😉
Huge congratulations to the chefs and waiters.
We had to wait for a table on the outside terrace for maybe 2 times waiting ,because we were waiting for it to be cleaned.
Rooms were cleaned every day, it was always clean, towels were always changed if you left them on the floor.
Finally, congratulations to all the staff there. ☺️Big Hug.
We will return next year.

The hotel staff is not customer-oriented. We arrived at the hotel at 10 a.m., and at reception we were promised that we would be checked in at 11 a.m., and that they would call us when our room was ready. Nobody ever called us. We waited until 2 p.m. and only then were checked in. Official check-in is from 2 p.m., and we don’t mind that, but if they had clearly told us there was no possibility to check in earlier, we would have planned our time differently instead of waiting for a call from reception, as they had promised.
The hotel is old; when you walk through the corridor you can smell the age.
There is no kettle in the room, no cups for tea, no coffee, tea, or sugar. We had to take a kettle for a €15 deposit.
This hotel does not meet 4-star standards in any way. I would rate it 3 stars at most. The staff is insincere – they say one thing with a smile and then don’t follow through.
The restaurant with a terrace, which was supposed to have a wonderful sea view, instead had the terrace closed in the morning with old yellow mesh blinds. So instead of enjoying the sea view, you just sit facing those shabby blinds.
Our room had a partial sea view, but the hotel is located extremely close to another one (about 10 meters away), so all we saw from the balcony were people on the balconies of the neighboring hotel.
One positive aspect of this hotel is its proximity to the sea.
I do not recommend this hotel, as the price does not match the quality.
