Rudy at reception is the absolute saving grace of this hotel and the sole reason my wife and I are rating our recent stay in Spain 4 stars instead of 3.
From the very moment we arrived, he was incredibly polite, welcoming us with a genuine smile that set a great tone for the trip. His attentiveness and professionalism consistently stood out. When room service forgot to supply us with towels, Rudy sorted it out quickly and without any fuss.
Even more impressively, he handled a genuine safety hazard that another staff member completely brushed off. There was a dangerous, detached pool light floating in the water. When I pointed it out to a rather moody technician who was walking around the pool area, his response was a dismissive, "I don't have time - maybe I'll do it tomorrow." I immediately raised the issue with Rudy, who took it seriously and had it sorted out right away. He genuinely cares about the guests and the safety of the resort.
As for the rest of the hotel, the food in the restaurant was decent at best for the majority of our stay. Interestingly, the culinary and service standards drastically improved on just two specific days—which coincidentally were the exact days we noticed managers walking around the dining area actively assessing the restaurant.
Also there is a bingo night, 12 euros to play and 1 euro for a pen to use so you can actually fill in the bingo card (you heard me right) - and there are lots of petty little things like this which makes you feel that the management aren't overlooking important aspects at this place properly. Little details are important.

I had a very good stay at Globales Janeiro. The gym is excellent compared to many other hotels in this category — really well equipped and great for regular training. The spa was an amazing surprise: it has many different water massage options, saunas, and relaxation areas. Honestly, I have never seen such a good spa in a hotel of this class before. There is also a proper sports swimming pool, which is perfect for athletes and active guests.
Another big plus was the animation team, who organized very good sports classes such as fitness dance, Pilates, yoga, and more. The movements were simple, but exactly what is needed so that everyone can follow, enjoy the classes, and stay active. I would really recommend joining these activities.
The food was good, and the staff both in the restaurant and at the reception were always very nice and friendly.
The only downside was that vegetarian and vegan dishes were not clearly labeled, so you often have to ask the staff. However, I have only seen this done really well in one other hotel so far.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for people who enjoy sports, wellness, and relaxation.

If you’re looking for a great hotel for a holiday – God forbid with children – then you shouldn’t choose this one. ... Compared to other hotels in Spain, we didn’t like it at all. The Wi-Fi is very, very slow. If you’re travelling with a young child, there are absolutely no activities for children at all – not even a small water slide. There’s a tiny playground that your child will get bored of after just one day. Music is a complete luxury. It’s like a retirement home for elderly people who’ve come to die in peace and quiet.
It’s very, very boring both in the hotel and within a 20km radius of it. The Wi-Fi is very weak. The grounds are small and there’s absolutely no space at all. There are two relatively small swimming pools. The view from the pool area is of local residents’ flats where they’re drying their underpants, a concrete wall, dogs barking from the balcony, and people sawing trees or carrying out building work. The breakfasts are dreadful – the same food every single day, with no change whatsoever throughout the week. If you turn up for breakfast at 10:00 and it finishes at 10:15, there’s a 99.9 per cent chance you’ll run out of vegetables, eggs, fruit and plenty of other things. Sometimes I had to rush to grab some food because it was being taken away right from under my nose. You have to run a marathon just to get something to eat, or queue for ages just to have an egg fried for you. There’s absolutely no choice of food for that price. You pay to eat the same thing every single day. The service for this money is 0. It was the worst hotel my family has ever stayed in.
Those were the downsides; now for the upsides.
A beautiful sea just 5 minutes away.
A decent sauna.
Have a lovely holiday, everyone 😉

Brilliant hotel located right on the beach, if you're wanting a quieter holiday this is the place. Rooms are a bit basic but they do everything you need them to and the cleaners are top notch. Reception staff are very helpful and polite but the main attraction has to be the kitchen staff and the food the put on. It is incredible, genuinely impressive considering the amount they offer for every meal. It's all properly cooked, nicely presented and all fresh. The chefs are constantly cooking fresh pizzas, meat and fish right in front of you and the table staff are so quick to take away dirty plates etc. Honestly the kitchen and service staff are absolutely fantastic and deserve all the praise in the world. Would definitely stay here again 👍

We stayed at Globales Janeiro and overall had an enjoyable holiday but I wouldn’t recommend as a young holiday family
The negatives
The biggest negative was the hotel seemed to put all families away from the main complex into an apartment block with no lift. Therefore to get from the pool you’d have to go through the main building up the elevator, across a road that was often busy with large busses and not the easiest to cross due to the steps
The rooms were lovely clean and spacious in the apartment area but for me it completely spoilt my holiday and made me make decisions to pack up early as it was such a task to go back and forth to the pool area. It meant prams were either left downstairs or lifted upstairs through quite slippery steps. If you have one child it’s a challenge, for us with two, with one that doesn’t listen was impossible. I really felt that I was not a guest.
The general entertainment and games were poor bordering non existent. I understand that June is not the busiest month but I expect a level of entertainment. Some of the nights the entertainment was bingo or some poor quiz. However the live acts were very good when on, however the hotel let itself down with the sound and lighting. It made the hotel seem very amateur.
The pool games could consist of darts (darts just left on the board) or some really poor games and were very few of them.
The Neutral
Personally I felt the pools were too cold and the only kids pool was too deep for the youngest deep at 40cm but that’s a personal preference and cannot put that as a negative more be
The spa was fabulous but items often didn’t work, and I was scolded a few times whilst I attended and could really burn a young kid (they allow children so it can get really loud and busy)
The positives
The first thing that stood out was how clean the hotel was. The rooms, pool areas and communal spaces were all very well maintained and spotless throughout our stay.
The staff were excellent from start to finish. Everyone was friendly, helpful and always happy to assist with any questions.
The food was better than expected for an all-inclusive hotel. We only had breakfast but the food was pretty good
The location was another big plus if you want quiet. The hotel is close to the beach, shops, bars and restaurants but not many of them. You will run out of choice very quickly if not all inclusive.
The rooms were comfortable and cleaned regularly. In general, everything was functional and well looked after. The pool area was a nice place to relax and there were usually plenty of sunbeds available.
Overall whilst it’s good for couples, as a family I didn’t feel like I could relax and wouldn’t stay again
