We stayed in a room with a kitchenette, so we didn’t opt for a food package. We prefer to get out and explore the local area, so unfortunately I can’t give a full review when it comes to the food or dining options.
What I can say is that we really enjoyed our stay here.
Location-wise, it was excellent for our family. It’s far enough away from the craziness of Albufeira to feel relaxed and peaceful, but close enough to get anywhere easily by taxi or Uber. There’s also a beautiful beach just down from the hotel, which was a real bonus.
The hotel itself is absolutely huge, with several lovely swimming pools. Everything was kept very clean, including the pool areas, and there are water slides in some sections which the kids absolutely loved.
Our room was good and had a lovely balcony overlooking the gardens, which was particularly nice to sit on in the mornings. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the kids’ club was also good.
The only real negative for me was the lack of lifeguards around most of the main pools. As a parent, it’s obviously a little concerning when your children want to go swimming and there isn’t a lifeguard present. It also became a bit frustrating at times with adults throwing skimming balls from one end of the pool to the other, with little regard for other people trying to swim.
I should add that there is a lifeguard in the children’s area where the slides are, which was reassuring.
Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back. For a family looking for somewhere peaceful, with great pools, a good location and plenty for the kids to enjoy, I’d definitely recommend it.

Absolutely amazing place to stay with small children! We went for a week with our 3 year old and 6 months old and it was just perfect. The apartments are clean and lovely and have everything you need for kids. The resort is stunning, so many swimming pools, amazing slides, close to the beach and everything so easy and well set up for being with kids. We look forward to coming back!

The apartments left an amazing impression – everything was modern, new, and very well maintained. The rooms were incredibly spacious, bright, and cozy, making the stay comfortable both for relaxation and for a longer visit. The entire property was spotless, with exceptional cleanliness and attention to detail visible everywhere.
The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made us feel valued from the very first moment. The service truly exceeded our expectations. We also loved the peaceful atmosphere and overall comfort that allowed us to fully relax and enjoy our stay.
This is definitely one of those places you want to come back to again. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality, modern, and comfortable stay.

We had a fantastic stay and were really impressed with every part of the hotel. From the warm welcome at reception to the clean rooms, great pool areas, and delicious food, everything was well organized and enjoyable.
A special highlight was the amazing entertainment team, especially Daniela, who stood out for her energy and friendliness. The activities were fun and engaging throughout the day, and the evening shows created a great atmosphere. The kids club was also excellent — safe, well-run, and full of activities that kept the children happy.
Overall, a wonderful experience and we would definitely return!

We have been to this area many times but this was our first stay at Alfagar Prestige. We were extremely pleased with our month stay. From the moment of check in , Cathia (sp) made us feel welcome and explained everything re apartment and property in excellent detail. In fact the whole team at reception were excellent and responded immediately to any questions or requests.
Loved the apartment…clean, well stocked , comfortable bed. The house keeping staff were friendly,helpful and efficient.
The view was lovely.
We enjoyed the pool and lounge chairs.
The daily fitness classes were a plus and participated a few times.
A great stay ! Thanks everyone! Looking forward to a return stay.
