Very disappointing experience at this hotel
The hotel is advertised as being close to public transportation, but in reality it is quite isolated. If you are not planning to rent a car, I would strongly advise against staying here. Getting around is difficult, and it requires a long walk to reach public transport.
The food was also disappointing. The meals lacked variety and were often repeated throughout the stay. The breakfast was particularly poor, with very limited options and little choice. For a 3-star hotel, I expected a much more diverse breakfast selection.
Another negative point is that there is no water fountain or free drinking water available for guests. In the evening, you have to buy bottled water, which is inconvenient and disappointing.
We were also dissatisfied with the room service. The towels were not changed during our entire stay, which was surprising for a hotel of this category.
In addition, there was no hot water on our last day, which was particularly unpleasant.
The only real positive aspect was the kindness of the staff, especially the morning receptionist, who was always welcoming and professional, and the bartender, who was very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately, these positive points are not enough to make up for the many shortcomings of this hotel. I would not recommend it, especially to travelers who do not plan to rent a car.

I’m really sorry to give 1 star, I’m disappointed from this Hotel.
Even though there is a really big potential here because the structure is good in itself, has a pool and is close to the beach. The problem here is that no effort is put in neither the food, neither the decoration of common areas, neither in providing few services that should be included like beach towels and since is a 3 star. The price is high but the services are mediocre.
If you are a staff of the hotel and reading this review , please see it as constructive feedback for improvement because your hotel has a potential and is a pity leaving it like this:
My suggestions are:
1. Provide fresh fruits, for breakfast and not canned fruits, this is just full of sugar, Is better to have less choices but of good quality Instead of a lot of choices but all frozen food. The scramble eggs were from powdered eggs and honestly you could taste them, not tasty at all. Sometimes it was cold food.Food was a disaster, all the guests seem disappointed looking at their faces.
2. The common areas living room is so sad , the sofas are so outdated, behind the sofa is so nasty , there is not even music or a tv to play some music in the background for making it more cozy or welcoming, it feels so cold , and as I said there is such potential for things could be done.
One curtain from the eating area windows was falling apart, how much does it cost to get it fix? It gives to the hotel a bad idea if you see it as a guest.
3. You charge 20€ for beach towels and don’t provide neither water in such a hot place, where guests came to appreciate the amazing beach. Provide at least one of them.
There is a problem in the toilets of the rooms , when you shower the water flooded all the toilet so you are there in a wet bathroom , hopefully you have flip flops. But this is not even such a big problem in comparison to the 3 that I described on the top.
The is nothing in that area, but if you walk for 30 minutes you reach the town where you can find nice restaurants and supermarkets.
To sum up I don’t recommend this hotel, the rating is too high, the pictures that you see are like that but in reality is in much older conditions and you’ll be disappointed.

It was fine , the staff was very friendly. But the thing that could change is the food, the same fruit for 5 nights and the same breakfast too mostly. Probably more flavour across the board- extremely bland. It would be great if the food changed, like completely. You could even serve less but good food instead of more instead. Otherwise it’s fine; it’s a bit remote from anything if you don’t have a car, the public transport is sketchy or non existent but the beach nearby is nice, the beach beds were 10 euro a day for 2 which was great

Staff were very friendly. The room was clean. For all inclusive, menu was weak. Also the restaurant was very small and you have to wait for the empty table. Water was smelling (I do not think that it was drinkable) and other drinks was not tasty. Beach was perfect (Hotel do not have facility in the beach, you have to rent umbrella etc.). Especially snack time was very poor. Everyday there were only cookie biscuit and ice cream (Ice cream was not delicious).

We had the most incredible stay at AFANDOU Blu Hotel, and it’s all thanks to Yannis (I hope I spelled the name correctly) and his wonderful family. What started as a stressful situation with our holiday nearly falling apart turned into one of the best experiences we’ve ever had—and it’s all because of Yannis, who was truly an angel and saved our family holiday.
From the moment we arrived, Yannis greeted us with such genuine warmth and care—it felt like coming home. His hospitality is unmatched, and it’s clear that he and his family pour their hearts into every detail of the hotel. They made us feel like part of their family, and that kind of connection is priceless.
The hotel itself is spotlessly clean, well-maintained, and honestly deserves 4 stars, not 3. The atmosphere is relaxed, the setting is beautiful, and you can feel the love and pride they take in their work throughout every corner of the property.
As for the food—wow. Every meal was homemade, bursting with flavor, and clearly made with love. You simply don’t get that kind of authentic, delicious experience in most places anymore.
We can’t thank Yannis and his entire family enough for turning our trip into something truly special. This hotel isn’t just a place to stay—it’s a place to feel cared for. We left with full hearts, full stomachs, and beautiful memories!
Thank you Yannis!
