Very warm and efficient welcome when we arrived at 2.45 am.
A beautiful sea view greeted us when we opened the curtains the next morning. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, the rooms were spotlessly clean. The hotel and it's grounds/pools are kept immaculate. Food was delicious and plenty or choice. Staff very helpful and friendly.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel — it’s genuinely one of the best family‑friendly places we’ve visited. The kids’ entertainment was outstanding, with the team putting so much energy and creativity into every activity. Our little ones were busy, happy, and excited from lunch time activities to evening thanks to the brilliant kids entertainment team.
We decided upon arrival to upgrade our room to a sea‑view, and the reception team acted immediately — they were attentive, friendly, and made the whole process effortless. The upgrade was absolutely worth it. The view was stunning, just like in the picture above. I highly recommend choosing a sea‑view room to make the most of your stay.
The pools were a real highlight too: clean, spacious, and perfect for both adults and children. Our room was comfortable, modern, and well‑kept throughout our stay, and the service across the hotel was consistently excellent — friendly, attentive, and always ready to help.
One of the biggest perks is how incredibly close the hotel is to the beach. It took us just a few steps to go from poolside to the sand, which made the whole experience feel effortless and relaxing. Beachfront hotels really don’t get more convenient than this.
If I had to mention one small thing, it would be that the mini disco in the evenings was a bit loud for very young children. Still, the atmosphere was fun, and it didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the entertainment overall.
We’d absolutely return — a fantastic choice for families looking for sun, fun, and great service right by the sea!

Lovely hotel and right on the beach which was stunning! The room could have done with a little TLC, as the door frames were coming apart and had nails sticking out.
The kids club staff were the best! Our little two had the best time with them. The food was fresh and nicely presented, just a shame about the amount of people that were in the one buffet restaurant. It got very stressful trying to find your way to the food.
The wait staff worked extremely hard; always ready to clear any empty dishes, and greet you with a smile. As were the bar staff.
We hoped to have our room for a late check out, as we weren’t being collected until 5pm, but we were told the hotel was full. I find this very hard to believe, as it was the start of the season, and not all of the rooms were occupied.
If anyone is thinking of visiting the area, I would avoid the end of March…the winds spoiled it a little for us. It was lovely once it warmed up towards the end of the week, when we had to fly home!
I would definitely stay at Zafiro hotels again.

We are currently staying at this hotel and we’re disappointed by the quality of the hotel. The location is great, can’t complain about that. But the hotel itself is way below the quality standard expected from a four star hotel. It’s rather quite trashy.
- the hotel really needs renovation. Doors, outdoor bathrooms , sofas are outdated and old.
- The Sauna is out of order and there are cockroaches. We were told it can happen, that facilities are broken and that we’re close to nature… (what a reply)
- The buffet restaurant looks like a cheap canteen with plastic tables and no table cloths. The terrace outdoor is small and only a few tables are in the shade.
- The a la carte restaurant is next to the entertainment stage with blasting disco music during lunch. Also, the terrace is packed with tables, you basically sit all together like sardines.
- There is a scarcity of staff. Only one employee at pool bars, so a queue forms quite fast. Bars close at 6pm.
- no daily cleaning of the room, only on some days.
- beach towels can be changed only on selected days
- The pool bar with sea view has no shade, you basically have to sit in the sun.
- The gates of the hotel don’t work with the microchip, they can be opened by anyone - so that’s a security concern.
- There is no parking, while the adjacent hotel has a parking. We were just told to find parking on the street.
We complained and asked if we could just leave and get the remaining 3 nights back, but were told we cannot since we had a no cancellation policy. Their solution was to allow us to have dinner at the a la carte restaurant for three nights and get one as a gratuity. We didn’t accept that as this just means we would spend more money, so overall it’s just a benefit for them. They denied to even give one gratuity for dinner.
Truly a pity how they manage the hotel and how they responded to our complaint. Also the hotel staff says they cannot make decision, that it’s the Zafiro central service that manages these cases, while the central service says it’s the hotel that should make the decision on what to do. Classic.
Cala mesquida is gorgeous, but stay away from the Zafiro hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The property is beautiful, very clean, and well maintained. The food was delicious with a great variety of options.
A special mention to the entertainment team — Tabea, Leila, Valentine, Pau, Charles, and Sergi — who were incredibly friendly, energetic, and always offered amazing activities that made our stay even more enjoyable.
We highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to come back again!
