We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Sol Milanos Pingüinos. Everything was superb from start to finish. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and honestly, don’t let the 3-star rating fool you.
The location is amazing, right next to the beautiful beach with stunning views. The service from the staff was excellent – everyone was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help.
The food was also surprisingly good, with plenty of variety and something for everyone. The facilities, atmosphere, and overall experience felt much closer to a 5-star hotel than a 3-star one.
For the price and what you get, this hotel is incredible value. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Menorca!

Just got back from a weeks holiday at this hotel and from the moment we arrived we had full access to the facilities despite our room not being ready yet, they have a locked room where you can leave your luggage so make sure to pack swimwear and a towel in your hand luggage or at the top of your big case and enjoy the refreshing pool and refuel in the poolside bar.
We were on the top floor (11) and despite there being 5 elevators you can spend a few minutes waiting for a lift to go down, going up is quicker, there are stairs but at around 200 stairs from ground to top floor it's not for the faint hearted.
The view from our balcony made up for any wait we had for the lifts and the view from the lift area windows was just as pleasing.
The room was just that, a room with a bathroom attached but you don't pay to stay in your room, there is a TV for winding down after a long HOT day and with the air conditioning it allows for a good night's rest, it was cleaned daily and is well maintained.
There are technically 2 pools but the large pool kinda splits into 2 as the smaller pool beyond the bridge doesn't get used very often so it's a bit quieter.
The food in the restaurant was great, there wasn't a crazy huge selection but the variety and quality were top notch everyday I was able to find something new I hadn't tried before which adds to the holiday experience.
The evening entertainment was a lot of fun we watched every night except for the 1st and last night's due to tiredness or having an early wake up, there is normally a lids disco for the young ones then a performance for the adults/older kids.
The staff were kind and friendly and everytime we passed a staff member in the corridor we always got a greeting.
There is a quick beach access gate (2 min walk to beach) at the rear that opens on to the wooden foot paths leading to and along the beach, you can use your key card to re-enter on your way back.
Overall a great hotel that made for a fantastic holiday, that offers great entertainment through out the day/evening.

Highly recommend! My partner booked this hotel for my birthday and couldn't be happier. We had free flip flops for both and a beach bag waiting in our room. The towels were in the room and there was no charge for it (no deposit needed). The food is very good and lots of options to choose from.
Entertainment activities at the hotel were very well chosen and kids loved it.
It deserves more than 3 stars with all facilities they have. Will definitely come back😊

the hotel is huge yet the service is efficient. The area of beach directly in front of the hotel has a shallow field of dead coral so to the left or to the right of that is better for swimming.
The window in our bathroom stayed open and the air conditioning isnt that strong so it can be quite warm. The left building gets a lot of noise as they put on live music at 9pm all the way until 11pm. Not cool if you need to sleep.

Visited this hotel with my partner, our 2 year old and my mum. It was fantastic. It's a 3 star because it's a bit dated and in need of some TLC, but the facilities for kids (highchairs everywhere), child friendly pool, close proximity to beach (gorgeous beach!) and very friendly staff really make it.
The food is ok, can get boring after a bit but the restaurants nearby are very good (except the beach restaurant). The hotel is also very accessible, lots of ramps, lifts and automatic doors. They have a policy against reserving sun loungers which is nice, and you can borrow towels and umbrellas for the beach from reception if you don't want to pay for sun loungers (on the beach).
Room was ok, we had asked to be put next to my mum but unfortunately she was put on another floor. We had a bathtub and shower which was good for the toddler, and she had a nice wide single with bed rails. Our bed sucked a bit, was quite hard and very noisy when we moved! Cleaners were great and sometimes set the teddies and toys out for our babies.
Pool was pretty clean apart from some grout discolouration. There was a great culture of swim nappy use, and good hygiene rules around the pool (no food by sun loungers etc). It kept the place clean and kept bugs and pests away. They have lifeguards and also let you borrow pool noodles and bring your own inflatables to use in the pool. The supermarket opposite the hotel has a little gas gun you can use next to all their for sale inflatables. Saves your lungs!
Mini disco and playground were good in the evening. Entertainment always finished between 10pm and 11pm, so noise wasn't too bad. I note that the pool doesn't open until 10am and lunch isn't until 1pm which can feel a bit late for the English. Lots of Spanish and Italian visitors. A real community feel when it comes to the little ones. My baby was hard work but we had a nice stay, I would recommend Menorca and I would recommend this hotel to families with small children!
