Montinho de Ouro is a fantastic place to stay in and around Luz, Portugal.
The rooms are clean, well presented. The facilities were great, and the staff were brilliant, always helpful and with a smile

The hotel room was pleasant, the staff were friendly, and everything was nicely maintained. Breakfast and dinner were fine, but I found the prices in the restaurant quite steep. €5 for a bottle of tap water and €8 for four tiny toasts with hummus? Overall, our stay was good, but those prices just don’t feel right.

The lady at the reception was not welcoming at all. It seemed our arrival just bothered her.
The size of the room is fine but provided nothing at all, not even a plastic cup. The bathroom was dark. The TV has only 6 channels. No heating and the room was cold. The breakfast was poor. For two persons two bread and two small croissants and a little bit of ham and cheese.
At least the lady who prepared the breakfast was nice.

Lovely place but not close to anywhere!
Need a car but all clean and gardens kept lovely.
Very rude lady on check in no welcome at all! Your room is not ready sit there. not what you need after a 12 hour journey to get there. A nice welcome is a great start no one spoke to us at all after check in.

The hotel service staff are awful. They are racists and treat you with disrespect. I felt very attacked by one of them and they never made us feel welcomed at home. It was a horrible experience. We will never return here again and I highly recommend you do not look into booking your stay here. This place made our trip sour and we felt discriminated because we were people of colour. Please go anywhere but here!!
