We had an amazing stay at Iberostar Royal El Mansour, Tunisia, and everything exceeded our expectations. The hotel is exceptionally clean, well maintained, and has a wonderful atmosphere with beautiful surroundings that make it perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The indoor pool was spotless and very warm, which was a big highlight for us, especially for the kids. It was comfortable and well looked after, adding a lot to the overall experience.
The staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional, always smiling and ready to help. The hotel is also very family- and kids-friendly, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
The food was great, with plenty of variety and excellent quality. A special thank you to the restaurant staff, especially Adyen and Med Ali, who went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and well looked after. Their kindness and attention truly stood out.
At the reception, Sahar and Emaad were outstanding — extremely accommodating, approachable, and always happy to assist with anything we needed. Their professionalism and warmth made a big difference to our experience.
Overall, this hotel offers fantastic service, a welcoming environment, and a memorable holiday experience.
We would definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tunisia! 🌟

I stayed at Iberostar Mahdia for 9 days over Boxing Day and New Year’s Eve and had a really great time overall.
The staff across the hotel were honestly amazing, restaurant staff, bar staff, cleaners, and reception were all very friendly and welcoming. One small thing I did notice is that if you give a UK note at reception, sometimes they don’t give change back, kind of hoping you might forget, so just something to be aware of.
Rim at the bar deserves a special mention. She was super friendly and always went out of her way to make you feel welcome.
Huge shout-out to Lilly from the animation team as well. She was incredibly friendly, you could tell she genuinely loves her job, and she got on with everyone. Such a great personality!
We met some great people during our time there, which made the trip even better.
New Year’s Eve was amazing, the animation team’s performance was something really special and one of the biggest highlights of the holiday.
The weather was a bonus too, 20+ degrees every day!
Overall, a really enjoyable stay with a great atmosphere and fantastic staff.

The hotel was clean and lovely and the room is definitely nice. Staff was super amazing and helpful and the entertainment team make sure we had a fun time. The cleaning staff were als cute and made our towels into cute shapes. Location however isn’t that useful as there is no shopping malls o nearby but a beach is !

Pros
Good selection of food. I'm not sure what other reviewers mean. They pretty much have everything, in fact there is too much choice.
Rooms are spacious and cleaned regularly.
The hotel is the beach so very good access to the seaside.
15 mins away from the town centre. Cab costs around £2.
Entertainment every night.
Bar open all day where you can get hot drinks and cold drinks too.

Water, tea coffee are not replenished daily in the room. They were not replenished at all while we were there. The room at times felt cold and we just wanted a hot drink. At times we were thirsty. We didn't bring our water bottles as we had assumed water would be available daily in our rooms.
No iron. I came to celebrate my birthday and could not wear my outfit as we couldn't get hold of one.
No bathrobes or slippers. This is a minor but adds to the fact thst service is a little lacking.
The hotel is cold in Dec/ Jan so please bring warm clothes. I thankfully had a coat but I wish I bought tights and leggings and a hot water bottle. I felt colder here than the UK!

Overall the experience was very good. We stayed 4 nights from 1.1 till 5.1.2026, room 3029.
The location is perfect, The room was Excelent, the staff and services were overall great, from reception to restaurant. The warm swimming pool was ok.
The missing star is for 2 reasons:
- spa: despite the relaxation massage was professional and good (done by Hiba), the pré and post massage experience was very poor: it was not possible to use the sauna, dumpf or hammam room to worm up the body before the massage, even if I explicitly requested it. After the massage, there is no possibility to stay in the relaxation room, no hot drink, like tee, was offered. for the cost of the massage, offering a drink is costing less than 1% of the cost of any massage (around 40 euro). In Antalya, this is the standard process in any Spa. (Massages prices in Antalya are similar to Tunisian Hotels/resorts Spas)
- entertainment: the is a big miss of information about what is planned during that day. I recommend Iberostar group to offer an app like the app offered by TUI blue. Or to add the plan of the day to the TV channel of the hotel (channel 1)
