One of the Worst Hotel Experiences: Zero Service & Disregard for Guest Safety
I cannot emphasize enough how strongly I advise no one to book this hotel-especially if your safety and basic human decency from staff matter to you. The service here is non-existent, and their ability to handle emergencies is simply zero. During our stay, a terrible incident happened: my friend slipped and fell while pushing luggage up the ramp at the hotel entrance. The impact was so sudden that they couldn't move after landing on the ground. What's outrageous? Every hotel staff member nearby witnessed the whole thing, yet not a single person stepped forward to ask if we needed help. It was only after I insisted repeatedly that the hotel finally called an ambulance to take my friend to the emergency room.
For nearly 2 hours-from the moment of the fall until the ambulance arrived-we were completely ignored. No staff member care about us, offered any advice, or even said a word of concern. It was as if we didn't exist, even as my friend lay injured on the ground.
What troubles me further is that I noticed most guests at this hotel are elderly people here for vacations. I can barely imagine what would happen if an elderly guest suffered such a severe fall and the hotel stood by idly the entire time. If a life- threatening situation occurred due to this negligence, could the hotel really bear the legal consequences?
This is not just a "bad service" complaint--it's a warning about a hotel that prioritizes nothing over guest safety. I am filing a strong complaint against this establishment and reserve the right to take legal action if necessary. Save yourself the risk: stay far away.

We spent four nights at Hotel Coronado Thalasso and Spa and we had truly enjoyable experience. The staff were consistently warm and welcoming, it’s hard to understand where any negative reviews come from, because everyone we encountered was genuinely friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was simple and consistent, while dinner offered a delightful variety each evening with themed menus that kept things interesting. The seawater pools were a highlight. Peaceful, uncrowded, and perfect for relaxing.
Our room faced the sea, and although it wasn’t large, it was clean, comfortable, and the view was absolutely stunning. Fresh towels were available daily from reception, which was a nice touch.
While the hotel doesn’t provide its own sunbeds and the beach out front can get quite busy, the overall atmosphere remained calm and pleasant. The shuttle service to Peguera was punctual every time, making local travel easy and stress-free.
Check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. All in all, we had a lovely stay and would happily return.

Absolutely amazing hotel in a fabulous location. Don’t believe some of the bad reviews you read, this hotel is fantastic and significantly undervalued.
We stayed there for our wedding, along with about 70 of our guests. Everyone absolutely loved it and complimented us on our choice.
The staff is super attentive to guests’ needs, the rooms have a fabulous sea views with large balconies or terraces, breakfast is delicious and the location is unbeatable in a quiet Cala with dream blue water.
They also have a brand new rooftop that’s absolutely worth a visit - or a great place to organize an event.
We will come back, and so will our guests!

horrible experience, please don’t book at this hotel. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, for me it wasn’t even a 3 star hotel. Staff was super unfriendly, they don’t care about you at all and they just want your money.
Complains are not taken seriously, they just rolled their eyes at us.
Dishes are all dirty, you really have to search for clean plates. food looks like from a 2 star hotel, nothing is fresh. It really ruined our holiday.
My blanket was dirty, when I asked the receptionist for a new one she answered “no more blankets today, when you see a cleaning lady tomorrow you can ask her for one”
We wanted to lay at the rooftop cause the view from there is nice - after 2 minutes a lady came to us to charge us 100€ per day just to lay at the rooftop. No one told us that this would cost extra. This is a 5 star hotel, rooms are already expensive and we should pay 100€ to lay at the rooftop? This is absolutely ridiculous.
Almost every day they forgot to give as towels for the pool or the beach and we had to get them from the receptionist, although they told us at checkin that there would be fresh ones in our room every day. Same with the robes, I always had to get them from the receptionist. Everyone there is so stressed and rude, no one ever asked us if we need anything and how our stay is/ was - not even at checkout- they just want your money.

Hotel Coronado is, hands down, one of the biggest tourist scams I’ve ever encountered. I genuinely don’t understand how this dump is still listed on booking platforms. What you see online is a lie – what you get in reality is a disaster.
The photos? Deceptive and misleading. Many seem to be photoshopped or even stolen from other properties. They shamelessly advertise a beach that isn’t even theirs, just to lure guests in. Complete fraud.
As soon as I walked into the room, I was hit with a strong smell of mold and filth. Cracked walls, broken furniture, a disgusting bathroom – everything looked like it hadn’t been renovated or cleaned properly in decades. The place is dirty, outdated, and outright repulsive.
The restaurant? An absolute health hazard. Dirty plates, stained cutlery, questionable food hygiene. I felt like I was in an abandoned institution, not in a hotel charging €300 per night.
This place is a disgrace. It doesn’t even deserve two stars, let alone the fake “luxury” label they parade around. It’s a complete insult to paying guests who end up being robbed in broad daylight.
Avoid at all costs. This hotel will not just ruin your vacation – it will leave you angry, disgusted, and wondering how such a scam is still allowed to operate.
