Budget hotel with everything you'd need. I suppose the place is a little dated, but it's clean and tidy. Bath towels replaced daily, with everything working fine. The bar prices are reasonable, the staff are helpful. I would return and would recommend.

This is a perfectly reasonable budget hotel, great value for its price point. The location is great, the rooms are very spacious and the pools and sauna are satisfactory. Some aspects of the hotel are a tad dated but there are no real issues there. Beds were firm a s comfortable, my only complaint was the shower - we had a variety of different problems with it that made it difficult to use it throughout our trip - however this may have just been our room (as other members of our trip said theirs worked wonderfully.

The best part about this place was the door to leave. From the get go, we were rudely greeted by the ‘housekeeper’ not sure what she actually cleaned because the room was disgusting! The door you enter closes at 4pm meaning you have to go through Canifor hotel go down to the basement, walk across the pool then in worlds oldest lift to your apartment. Absolutely ridiculous! The rooms are outdated, probably were decent 40 years ago. Old food left on hobs, only two working plug sockets. Previous guests snacks in the cupboards and fridge. Faulty locks on doors, not safe for my child. No balcony. Seemed like the housekeeper gave us the worst apartment out of spite because she got our booking wrong. Managed to stay 2 nights before checking out and booking elsewhere. It’s giving prison vibes. Save your money and time. DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE!!

Great staff very helpful. Hotel is very clean Fantastic location minutes walk from the bus station and seafront. We didn't eat in The restaurant but was always full,a good sign Rooms maybe basic but everything you need for a stay Remember to bring your cash for tourist tax as the ATM in the hotel charge a fee.

The rooms were lovely, modern, very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Extra bedding was also provided if needed. The WiFi worked well and having Netflix in the room was great. The adult pool area was lovely, although the pool itself was very cold. Breakfast was good but there wasn’t a huge amount of choice. The surrounding area didn’t have much nearby, so we found ourselves getting taxis most places. One downside was that the walls were quite thin, so we were disturbed by noisy neighbours a few times during our stay. The night concierge staff were helpful in eventually dealing with the noise complaints, although no alternative room was offered. We also had issues with the air conditioning breaking during our stay. Staff overall were polite enough, but didn’t seem particularly engaging. Overall, the hotel had some really positive features and we still enjoyed our stay, but there are definitely a few areas that could be improved.

Stayed here with my with wife for 4 nights at the end of April. This hotel was the perfect space for us to stay as we were looking for a quieter area compared to the other areas, but still with plenty to explore and do. The hotel is situated along a street with a few lovely bars and restaurants, a mini market and just a 5 minute walk away from the bay, so we were pretty spoilt for choice. The hotel building itself was very clean and tidy. The staff within the lobby, bars and throughout all greeted us with a smile and hello each time we were passed through, adding to the overall pleasantness of the stay. Services are great in that you are provided with free WiFi in the lobby and room. There is a family pool (which is warmer) and a rooftop pool which we made good use of. Bar and food services in the lobby and rooftop areas. Our only very minor complaints were that the bed mattresses were sadly not very comfortable, but it didn't mean for a bad night's sleep at all. The shower also took a little getting used to with the slightest adjustment meaning you either had boiling or cold water coming out. We did eventually find the sweet spot to get the appropriate temperature. Overall, we had a wonderful stay here and I would highly recommend this hotel. We look forward to one day coming back! Me and my partner are currently staying at Luna Hotel Complex and honestly, it’s been a fantastic experience so far. The staff are absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, and always smiling. The food is delicious with plenty of variety, and the room is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. I’m still here and already know I would happily come back. Highly recommend!

Great place, just as we were there was a renovation. But it did not interfere with our rest. The progress was very quickly seen as they created a new reception. We only used accommodation and this choice was great. Close to the bus stop despite the renovation and detour, the communication is great. Great service as well as housekeeping. Kitchen equipped with everything you need :-) We recommend 🫶

We came out of season and the hotel is undergoing refurbishment. The reception is closed, painting going on everywhere and areas with signs saying do not enter along with room signs that were out of date. But the staff did their best to keep everything going. We checked in at midnight and it was not too much trouble and we were greeted warmly. The Self Catering Room had a shower room, then a bedroom/kitchen/living space combined and a small balcony. The bathroom is in need of an update as there was plaster missing from around the door frame and the water in the shower is very slow to change temperature - although it was a decent size. Nowhere to put your stuff so it needs a shelf. The kitchen has a 2 ring induction hob, with extractor. The hob was fine but the extractor didn’t really work so had to have the door open as none of the pans had lids and steam went everywhere. Also the fridge did not cool things despite adjusting the settings so needs replacing. There was a mini oven/microwave with no instructions. Everything is for 3 people as the sofa can become an extra bed. The beds were at the point of just needing replacing as I could feel the springs, but slept well. There is a free safe in the wardrobe and only 1 extra pillow. The balcony is small and holds 2 chairs. You can hear your neighbours, so if you are a light sleeper I would not recommend. Note there are no washing machines in the apartments, but reception will arrange an external company to wash your clothes for you The outside pool was closed in February naturally, but do go up there as the views are amazing! We could see a closed bar and sunbeds all ready for use in the summer as well. There is an indoor heated pool. But it is small - just 1.1 metre deep, a sectioned off area for babies and an internal push the button type jacuzzi. The terrace was closed but had big glass doors that open in the summer. Unfortunately the bottom of these were covered in a thick green mould. There is a mini reception in a side door and a corridor turned into a lobby were people sit for drinks and entertainment. I was impressed they still do this out of season. We had one meal there a gluten free pizza and a ham and mozzarella salad with 2 diet cokes and it came to E37 which is expensive but average for this area. The salad was great but the pizza was awful, the base tasted like burnt cake. Also, there was a birthday party going on and children were running around wildly. But the staff told them off and eventually sectioned off that area of the restaurant to keep them away from diners which was good to see such a proactive approach. The bar sells cans of Stowford and cans of Hedgehog as the dry cider offering (there were sweet ciders too). There is a gym on the lower ground floor that you need to sign in/out for. And also a really good well stocked supermarket underneath the building that sold everything from postcards to bigilla. The hotel is at the bottom of a big hill and the village is at the top, so if you have mobility issues then this isn’t the place for you. However, at the bottom of the street is the sea with a little museum, and a (very expensive) bar, restaurant, shop and gelateria. The staff though are all so sweet and polite, nothing is too much trouble for them which was lovely. Would I come here again? I suppose if it were super cheap or when the refurbishment is finished, then sure.

Great hotel. Budget friendly, the beds are super comfortable, the location is very lovely next to an amazing pub and close to a bus stop with many buses to Valetta and supermarkets which are open until very late. The people there are AMAZING. Especially the two lovely people at the reception which were very kind, smart, well-spoken and rays of sunshine all-together.

It is an easy-to-find and quiet hotel. The staff who welcomed us. They are kind and provided the necessary things. but just one thing that's unfortunate is that the bathroom was visually clean, but I don't think it used germicide or cleaning detergent.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Broken furniture, broken balcony door which meant that there was constantly wind coming into the room, blocked bathroom sink, cracked ceiling, electrical wires running through the room. This hotel should not even be open, it is unfit to host guests. The neighbourhood is also very run down, with most buildings nearby abandoned and many drunk people walking around at night. Avoid staying here, even as a last resort.

Insanely (but bad) experience! At my arrive I’ve been put in a room without wi-fi, the view from the balcony was on top of some broken houses, the area isn’t the best, the cleanliness?! Probably they don’t know what “clean” means , some of the towels were with some black marks on it, the bathroom was felling apart , but nothing compare with what I had to pass trough the night, the mattress was full of some insects which bites me during the all night, is insane someone have to pass trough this things! I have more than 30 bites all over my body, is unacceptable ! The lady at the reception at least change my room, but apart from that nothing, I had to go by myself and buy the cream for the bites . I hope they’ll do something for it, otherwise I think they should close!

Had a really good time there, the kids loved the pool. The weather was really good at the time of the year October into November 23 degrees 19 degrees at night which was comfortable. Can’t wait to go back next year 2026

We were provided with all the information even before we arrived and that was very helpful. The maisonette was very clean and organized. We loved the terrace and the pool area. The kitchen was well equipped. The lower level garage is spacious and well lit. Laundry and air conditioner work with coins (€1, €2). There is a very good supermarket near the Ghasri church.

Wonderful accommodation and lovely pool. Basic, but had everything you need for a relaxing stay. It’s our second visit and our whole family love it hear. Kids (9 and 12) kept entertained by swimming and the local kittens!

We all really loved Villagg-tal-Fanal. Spacious, well equipped and set out in a lovely picturesque way around a large central swimming pool, we and our 4 children had a really lovely week here. We did not bother the staff much but, when we did, found them charming and helpful. There is an very convenient underground carpark (you do need a car here really) and the place is within an easy 5-10min drive of multiple beaches, swimming holes, harbours, great restaurants and shops. They provide a very helpful online guide book which has lots of things to do and I honestly wish we had come for 2 weeks. We definitely plan to return. Highly recommended.
