Overall: A really lovely stay with a few things to be aware of
We recently stayed at Ona Alborada and overall really enjoyed our experience. The hotel has a lot going for it, and with a couple of tweaks it could easily be perfect.
Room -
Our room was clean and well-equipped. We had:
Shower gel and shampoo provided
A fridge, microwave, hobs, kettle, toaster, and plenty of utensils
Two TVs (one in the living area and one in the bedroom)
A comfy bed
A nice balcony with a drying rack
Duvets available if needed
The hotel itself is huge, so be prepared for a bit of a walk to the room, especially if you’re carrying things to and from the pool.
Staff -
Most of the reception team were friendly and helpful, and the restaurant staff were also mostly lovely.
Food & Full Board -
This was the biggest downside for us:
Full board does not include drinks, except at breakfast. Even water at lunch and dinner had to be paid for, which was disappointing. For full board, we expected at least soft drinks to be included.
Food-wise:
Breakfast had a good variety, although I couldn’t find normal English breakfast tea, so I brought my own teabag.
Lots of pork and fish during the first few nights, with chicken and salmon appearing at the weekend, which was a nice change.
Chips were available every lunch and dinner, along with rolls and bread, so there was always something simple and reliable for kids or picky eaters.
Sometimes the usual vegetables were quite limited, but other times there was a nice selection of veg, so it varied day to day.
Puddings were mostly creamy, cakey-style desserts, along with one flavour of jelly and one flavour of mousse each day, plus lots of fruit for those who prefer something lighter.
Overall, the food was pleasant, just slightly repetitive.
Pool & Facilities -
The saltwater pool is huge, clean, and lovely—very cold at first, but worth it once you’re in!
There were loads of sunbeds, and the little beach through the gate by the pool was a bonus.
The WiFi was a bit hit-and-miss, so keep that in mind if you need a reliable connection.
Location -
The area itself is fine—quiet, with a couple of supermarkets and shops nearby.
The local 467 bus stops a short walk from the hotel and runs regularly to and from Los Cristianos, which was really handy for getting around.
We also ordered a McDonald’s via Uber Eats one evening for a break from the pork!
Sleep Quality -
Beds were very comfortable, and it was quiet at night, so we slept really well.
Overall:
A great stay with clean rooms, friendly staff, a fantastic pool, comfy beds, and good facilities. Just be prepared for no drinks included with full board, some long walks due to the size of the hotel, and patchy WiFi. Despite these small issues, we really liked our stay and would happily consider returning.

The apartments themselves are nice, spacious, and offer a good view, which is the main positive aspect of this hotel. Unfortunately, everything else was disappointing.
The staff and management were among the worst I’ve experienced. Cleaning is done only once a week, and even then it only includes changing towels and bed sheets, there is no vacuum cleaning at all. For two people, they provide only one hand towel, and if you want extra towels or clean ones, you have to pay for them. In fact, the hotel charges extra for almost everything, even for storing your luggage!
Check-in is at 4:00 p.m. and check-out is at 10:00 a.m. Despite the room being ready earlier, they refused to allow early check-in. This behavior felt very unaccommodating and unfriendly.
The internet was extremely unstable, and there was even no internet access for an entire day. The staff claimed it was an issue affecting the whole neighborhood, but all the cafés around the hotel had working Wi-Fi. If you’re planning to work remotely, this is definitely not the place to stay.
The dishes provided in the cabinets were not clean.
The location is also not ideal, especially if you don’t have a car.
Overall, while the apartments look good, the poor service, excessive extra charges, and lack of flexibility make this hotel hard to recommend.

This is thw most disgusting hotel i have ever stayed. As soon as we entered, we so a living cocroach running in the bathroom. On top of that, the wc was used and not cleaned. There was literally a drop of someone eles' pee and it wasn't flushed.
We of course complained about all of this and the staff was incredibly useless, unprofessional and incompetent. The o ly solution was to pour a pink liquid in the WC. what for exactly? No idea. They don't clean the rooms at all. At the pool you will also find crocaches.

I highly recommend that anyone who wants to stay at this hotel for more than 3 days read all the reviews carefully because when choosing accommodation it is not stated anywhere that the rooms are not cleaned and you do not get clean towels if you stay for 7 days, so three people received one face and hand towel and one shower towel each for 7 days. Two rolls of toilet paper... Who would be smart to make such a rule and I would really like to see if the whole family uses one towel at their own house. If you want more towels, you have to pay at the reception. On the balcony, there is a bucket for washing floors and a broom for cleaning... Pay for your accommodation to enjoy your hollidays and then if you don't want it to be dirty in 7 days, you have to clean it yourself. It is necessary to improve the air conditioning in the rooms and get rid of the cockroaches from the hotel without the excuse that they jump from trees... That's what we paid for the accommodation is a beautiful large swimming pool with by sea water.,,The food was fresh and tasty , although it is not normal to charge for water in the dinner, that there is nowhere .. The staff is very helpful, kind, especially the animator at the pool, he really tries to entertain the guests and engage them in activities.. Thank you on kindness and variety of food, but I have never been to a hotel where there is no daily cleaning service..

We had a nice stay at this hotel. The room was clean and modern, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Carlos was especially kind, always smiling and making us feel welcome, which we really appreciated.
The saltwater pool was great and well taken care of. They cleaned it in the evening during our stay, and everything felt safe and fresh.
We didn’t see any cockroaches during our stay, and it’s clear the hotel is working hard to keep everything in good condition.
We chose to go out and enjoy the many nearby places to eat as there are lots of great options close by.
It’s not a luxury hotel, but if you want something clean, comfortable, and with good service, this is a great place to stay. We were very happy with our visit.
