Stayed at Melia Phuket Mai Khao recently. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable. The staff are generally kind and friendly, especially Aon and Jar, who were very helpful and welcoming throughout the stay.
The Italian restaurant Gaia was one of the best parts of the hotel — great chefs, delicious food, and excellent service.
However, the hotel management still needs improvement. There are too many mosquitoes and insects around the property, which made the stay uncomfortable at times. The overall service is not fully at the level expected from a luxury resort. Sometimes when guests request something, the hotel is not very accommodating and can feel quite restrictive.
Another disappointment was the minibar policy. For a hotel in this category, the minibar should really be included in the room rate, especially considering the already high prices throughout the resort.
Breakfast also had very limited halal food options.
The hotel has beautiful rooms and potential to be excellent, but management and guest experience still need more attention.

Everything was perfect! The hotel was beautiful, the room was amazing, and we truly enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. A special thank you to the lovely girl at the reception( Fon )she was incredibly kind, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. Her professionalism and warm attitude made our experience even better. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend this hotel to others!

Early May my mother and I stayed at Melia Mai Khao Phuket for 7 nights and honestly could not have asked for a more phenomenal experience from start to finish.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful — peaceful, spotless, and perfectly maintained. Every area was incredibly tidy and relaxing, creating the perfect atmosphere to unwind and enjoy our holiday. The location was excellent, offering a quiet escape while still being convenient for exploring Phuket.
What truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional kindness and hospitality from every single staff member. Everyone was so warm, welcoming, and genuinely personable, always greeting us with smiles and going above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and cared for.
The spa treatments were also one of the highlights of our stay. The spa experience was incredibly relaxing, luxurious, and professionally delivered — exactly what we needed for a truly rejuvenating holiday.
Every detail throughout our stay reflected the care and attention the resort puts into creating a memorable guest experience. From peaceful mornings around the resort to the consistently thoughtful service, everything felt effortless and enjoyable throughout our entire visit.

Had a great stay at Melia Phuket, the rooms with private pool are gorgeous as well as the property surroundings.
Staff is very friendly and accommodating, always ready to help.
One thing that perhaps could be improved is the breakfast, the selection is definitely not the best and neither what you would expect from a 5 star hotel.
The fact that they charge for a mimosa for breakfast or champagne does not go in line with 5 star hotel services provided.
Also in the room there is a coffee machine however you get one regular coffee capsule and one decaf for 2 people . Is not a big deal but those are small aspects that can be improved to elevate guests experience.

The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The hotel location is a bit far from the city center, but it is very quiet and perfect for anyone looking for relaxation and peace. It is also conveniently close to the airport. There are several swimming pools, and the hotel is located directly on the beach. The hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, and they also offer many other excellent services. Highly recommended.
