We stayed for five days at Barceló Coconut Island, and honestly, we could have stayed for a whole year!
Our pool villa was beautiful and recently renovated — modern, comfortable, and perfect for relaxing.
The food was excellent in every restaurant. We really appreciated the combination of buffet and à la carte options, depending on the day — it kept everything varied and exciting.
The staff were incredibly kind and attentive throughout our stay.
A special thank you to Kyle, who took care of us every day and made our experience even more memorable.

I had a fantastic experience at this hotel. Everything was top-notch from start to finish. The rooms were beautiful, modern, and impeccably clean, providing a very comfortable environment.
The dining was another highlight; the food was delicious with a great variety of options to choose from.
What truly set this stay apart, however, was the exceptional service. The entire staff was helpful, but I would like to give special thanks to Jhun for his assistance during check-out. He made the process seamless and efficient, showing great professionalism.

The hotel itself is incredibly beautiful. The lush greenery everywhere makes you forget that there is an entire complex of villas and suites all over the property.
The staff are so attentive to every detail from the food and beverages to the room cleaning and all the reception and support staff. Kyle over at the bar is also one of the best and friendliest bar attendants you will ever meet and he always made sure we were very well looked after!
The rooms are incredible. We stayed in a suite at first and moved to a villa for the last part of our stay and had such a fabulous time!
We really did not want to leave!

We have just checked out after 10 days at this beautiful resort. I can’t praise the hotel highly enough, our room was absolutely beautiful and cleaned to a high standard daily. All areas of the hotel are great, and the service from the staff was impeccable. All the restaurants on site are excellent, we didn’t have one bad meal. Breakfast buffet selection is great also.
The only thing that surprised me is that if you are not all inclusive, the food and drink prices are quite expensive, very much western prices and what we would expect to pay at home in the UK. However the quality of meals/drinks did fairly represent this and of course factoring in the hotel is on an island.
Overall we had a wonderful stay, and wouldn’t hesitate to come back. We would also recommend this resort to all of our family and friends. Thank you for a lovely holiday 😊

Came to the resort with my partner for my birthday - stayed 12 days at the resort and I’m actually quite disappointed. Firstly, this is not a true 5 star hotel, if you are used to that don’t expect that here. Service across the hotel was so bad. Everything here is so inconsistent, one day a waitress might greet you for breakfast one day they won’t. We were mid eating our breakfast when a waitress came over took all our food away that we were mid eating and tried to get us off the table (she did not apologise for making a mistake). Room service would turn up different everyday, missing items, poor communication, again no apology. When we asked to talk to a manager it took 3 days before they sent someone. Room Cleaning was abysmal, they wouldn’t actually clean the room and left dirty cups and plates with food there for 2 days. One day when they came in we asked them to come back later to which they pushed past us and continued Cleaning anyway. Raised these concerns with a manger and that lead to our room actually getting cleaned for the first time after 9 days. Regarding getting to and from the island it’s a bit of a nightmare, boats are usually packed and you sometimes have to wait for the next one, the boats come every hour sometimes every 30 mins. Food at the buffets is not great.
I had private dinner on the beach which looked lovely and is quite expensive but the service was so slow and the food was not good, it was dry and cold. Bugs were everywhere on the beach too. That wasn’t a very special dinner as we had hoped.
Drinks service is so slow, we waited 10 mins at an empty bar for a bottle of water. Incredibly disappointed with the service. I’m very happy we did not do all inclusive.
There are not enough beds in the hotel and it caused guests to wake up early to secure a bed, that was very frustrating.
The only good experience we’ve had at this hotel was the beach club Laku as staff there are better and food is much better ( this is not included in all inclusive).
Theres one worker who’s name is Von who made this stay better, he is so kind, helpful and provided the best service we received in the hotel. He would make all the customers smile and made sure my birthday was special and our stays in the beach club were perfect. Massive thank you to Von!
