I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marabout in Sousse! The hotel has a great location near the beach and close to the city center, which made everything very convenient.
The food was delicious with a good variety every day — fresh salads, grilled dishes, desserts, and traditional Tunisian cuisine. There was always something tasty to enjoy.
The best part of the vacation was definitely the animation team. Huge thanks to the amazing animators Fifi, Sacha, Bilel, Snoopy, and the boss Adel. They created such a fun and friendly atmosphere every day. There were many activities like games, sports, dancing, and entertainment by the pool. Every evening we enjoyed fantastic shows with music and dancing that made our nights unforgettable.
The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were comfortable, and the overall atmosphere was full of positive energy. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for fun, relaxation, and great entertainment in Sousse!

A Very Disappointing Experience
Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was very disappointing.
The rooms are extremely dirty, untidy, old, and clearly in need of renovation. On the positive side, the swimming pool and water park are decent, and the beach is also okay.
However, the food is a major problem. The meals are very basic, limited, and almost exactly the same every day. It feels as if the hotel is deliberately trying to save money on food. When one tray of food is finished, it takes a very long time for another one to be brought out.
What is particularly frustrating is that the staff control and limit the amount of food guests are allowed to take. For example, you may be given only two small pieces of pizza or a very small portion of an egg. Unlike other hotels, there is very little choice at breakfast — you do not have a proper selection of boiled eggs, omelets, fried eggs, and similar options.
Large crowds and long queues form because the staff are extremely slow. It often feels as though the service is intentionally slow, making people give up and leave rather than wait for more food.
The situation with drinks is even worse. The hotel provides very small 150 ml cups, and sometimes you have to wait up to 10 minutes just to get a drink. Larger personal cups are not allowed, which makes the whole experience even more frustrating.
The staff are generally very slow, and it is obvious that some employees are under constant pressure from their supervisor, who does not allow them to serve guests properly or let them take more food.
Overall, this was a very poor experience. While the pool, water park, and beach are acceptable, the dirty and outdated rooms, extremely limited food, small drink portions, long queues, and poor service make it very difficult to recommend this hotel.

I would like to express my sincere appreciation for Mr. Sedki Amara, who works at the restaurant of Marabout Hotel in Sousse, Tunisia.
During our stay, he was by far the most friendly, helpful, and professional member of the restaurant staff. He always greeted guests with a warm smile, treated everyone with kindness and respect, and genuinely cared about making people feel welcome.
What impressed us most was his attitude toward children. He was incredibly patient, caring, and attentive to our kids, which made a huge difference for our family and made our holiday even more enjoyable.
Sedki's positive energy, kindness, and dedication to his work stand out every single day. Employees like him are a true asset to any hotel and create the kind of experience that guests remember long after their vacation ends.
Thank you, Sedki, for your excellent service, your positivity, and your genuine care for people. The world needs more people like you.
Best regards,

0 for housekeeping. We only got towels if we left them a tip. They didn't even clean the rooms. Everything else was fine. I’d like to commend the animation team; they were excellent. All the best for the waiters.
Special thanks to Chef Jamel and his team! The food was delicious every day, and the service was excellent. They truly made our stay even better. Thank you!

Dear all, I stayed at marabout hotel between 1st and 4th may 2026. The hotel is for couples only but two separate beds in the room, you have to give 40 dinar as deposit to have tv remote control. For the dinner, it is less than correct, the first night, there was almost worth eating with principal small turkey meat with bones you have to fight with to eat it. The other nights was 3/5 but nothing really special but what was also disappointing the restaurant staff passing most of time talking, there was a person yelling at people for not being organized while the organisation is the hotel responsability not the guests. If you are a foreign beautiful girl, you may have a lil better treatment with an extra staff asking for your phone number as I noticed… Very disappointing experience and not professional staff, specially in the restaurant, who need to learn how to be friendly and respectful with guests. FYI drinks are not included (not even water) with dinner.
