I highly recommend this hotel:
1. People are amazing, very kind and helpful. They even found a back pain cream for my mother. Staff at the restaurant, beach and everywhere were amazing. Hotel manager (Panos) was super helpful too. We asked for a quiet room, with nice view, and we got precisely what we wanted.
2. Sea and views are spectacular! Water is crystal clear. Especially if you swim in the morning its like being in a movie! Its also quiet, and not crowded (27 may to 6 June)
3. Hotel and rooms are renovated! This is very important! Doing my research, I have realised that often in Greece hotels may be old (it happened last year to me, that pictures dont show that).
I highly recommend this place! I travel a lot, and i think this is one of the best places in Europe!

We had a fantastic stay at Filoxenia Grecotel Kalamata. The location by the sea is beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
We stayed on a half-board basis and were really impressed with the food. Both breakfast and dinner were excellent, with plenty of choice and consistently high quality.
A lovely hotel with a relaxed atmosphere – we would definitely return.

We stayed at the hotel as a couple for 7 nights in September and absolutely loved it. The weather was perfect.
Our deluxe veranda room was spacious with a large bathroom that had both a separate shower and bath, plus a double sink. Everything was spotless. The veranda was a lovely place to sit in the evenings with the double doors open. There are lots of room types available, so it’s worth checking them out to find the one that fits your needs.
The hotel sits on a pebbled beach. We brought beach shoes, so it wasn’t an issue, and the sea was beautifully clear and a pleasant temperature. It felt refreshing at first, calm in the mornings, and a bit wavier in the afternoons.
The staff really made our stay. Reception was always helpful, especially with arranging taxis, and the pool and restaurant teams were friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast had a wide choice of hot and cold dishes. The food could have been a little hotter, but the variety was great, and the fresh orange juice was a highlight.
We mostly ate out in the evenings (see my other reviews), and the location was ideal with buses and taxis readily available to get into town.
Overall, we couldn’t fault the resort and will definitely be returning.

I brought my group here and they were all doubles but for some strange reason the hotel Which is the best together and makes them up as singles.
After explaining that the customers were all double rooms they fixed it up for us however the following day they made them up a single as again which is really weird especially as I was a single I got a full double bed.

The hotel is situated 15-20 minutes drive from the airport and is about a 10 minute bus drive from Kalamata downtown. We were welcomed very warmly by the hotel staff, were checked in by them while sitting comfortably at the lobby’s lounge. There are three pools (one for kids, a large one and a medium sized infinity) and a private beach. The sea from the sea-side room can be seen only when stepping out to the balcony. The room wasn’t big but cozy. However there were three main downsides to the room. We had no full body mirror, had no kettle to make tea, and the shower stream was weak. The pools were lovely and the water had a good temperature. One con was that if you didn’t catch a sun bed right after breakfast, you wouldn’t be able to get any until the late afternoon. The breakfast was minimal but delicious with good quality. The staff at the restaurant and the pool were amazing!! Any request was answered warmly and with a big will and smile. The reception staff were also very friendly and always available via WhatsApp. Would love to stay there again.
