We thoroughly enjoyed this hotel! Beautifully maintained, with great pools, bars, restaurants and amenities. While there is not really a beach, we didn’t mind that at all, although you can swim in the ocean if you like - it has a barrier to prevent seaweed buildup and waves. We paid an extra $40CAD (for six nights) each to upgrade to the Privileged section - this is well worth it! (Although, if you have the opportunity to upgrade to a room with the tub on the deck, definitely go for that). You get access to your own pool/beach/bar area, as well as the BLoved restaurant - our server Emmanuel was excellent and extremely professional!! You can order food à la carte there and it was always top notch - much better than the buffet! We found the staff throughout the resort to be very pleasant - special shoutout to Antonio in the Mexican restaurant, who also provided excellent service and was so nice to speak with. Evie with the photography team was also super nice while taking our pictures. There were only two cons to our stay - while we had a nice secluded balcony on the ground floor, we could not really enjoy it because at certain points of the day it smelled like sewage. We were located next to some kind of building and i’m not sure if that was where the sewer lines went into?? Also, I was not allowed to use the hydrotherapy pool because I’m pregnant, which really didn’t make sense because it’s just a large pool with some water taps that blow water on you if you decide to stand under them - I said I wouldn’t use the sauna or hot tub, and they told me the pool wasn’t heated, but they still wouldn’t let me in 🤷🏻‍♀️ weird rule but whatever - we just went to the regular pool. In terms of parking, their lot is not very big but we had no problems parking our car on the street, at most a block away. Entertainment at the pool and in the evenings were great - they ensure you have fun. Lots of choice for drinks and food, and we didn’t really have troubles finding a lounger chair in the late morning/afternoon. Also, if you choose to leave the hotel, there are a ton of cool restaurants and tourist shops along the canals - maybe a 5-10 minute walk away. There is a dolphin pool along the boardwalk where you can see the dolphins without paying, although I found their pools to be a little small 😕 Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you are visiting the Riviera Maya!

Lovely smaller resort, the culinary experience has exceeded our expectations! Thank you so much! Allehendro from the Beloved restaurant has given outstanding service and the food there has been fabulous. Excellent show and service at the Japanese restaurant with Eduardo and Rosa. The upgrade to the privileged romance category was definitely worth it. We enjoyed the couples massage and hydrotherapy experience that was included and the access to Beloved restaurant. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

This hotel, service, and location were all so so amazing!! Everyone we encountered were so welcoming and so friendly. Shout out to our waiter Mauricio Ozuna at Adelita who was just such a pleasure to be around! He made our night so enjoyable and his service was top notch! The food at all the other restaurants were also so yummy! This resort was so worth it for me and my family! We’re definitely going to be back again!

We have been to this resort three times already and always have a great time. The upgrade to Privileged is worth it for us, especially because you are limited to how many à la carte reservations you can make (only three in one week). With Privileged, the main perk is the restaurant B’Loved. Not only is the food great for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the waitstaff (especially breakfast and lunch) is excellent. Shout out to the host, Brenda for being so friendly and welcoming and the waitstaff - Juan, Teresa, Viridaua, and Nolberto. They are so attentive and genuinely kind. The grounds are clean and well kept. The pools are great. You can participate with the entertainment team as much or as little as you want — they are not pushy. All in all, we had a wonderful trip and will be returning.

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. A special mention goes to Brisa, a fantastic restaurant with delicious food and a great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit (special thanks to Luis, Laila, and the entire team!). We truly enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back. Highly recommended! 😊

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Our stay at Moon Palace The Grand was incredible! Everything about the resort exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help, making us feel at home from the moment we arrived. One of the highlights was the Grand Buffet. Veronica made the best spicy chicken tacos I’ve ever had—they were absolutely amazing! She was so kind, and her food was one of the biggest highlights of our trip. The food throughout the resort was excellent, with so many delicious options to choose from. The WIRED Lounge was another favorite. The arcade was fun, modern, and completely free, making it an awesome place to spend time between swimming and other activities. We also loved seeing all the wildlife around the resort. Spotting birds, coatis, iguanas, and other animals roaming the beautiful grounds made the experience even more special. The resort is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable, and there is always something to do. If you’re looking for an unforgettable all-inclusive vacation, I highly recommend Moon Palace The Grand. We can’t wait to come back!

The resort is large, well maintained, and offers plenty of amenities, but it didn't quite live up to our expectations. While there were definitely some enjoyable aspects of our stay, we felt there was room for improvement in the overall experience, especially compared to other all inclusive resorts we've visited. It wasn't a bad vacation by any means, but we probably wouldn't choose to stay here again with so many other great options available.

This place is amazing!! Definitely get the private transfer to/from airport booked through hotel, travel was a breeze! Really prompt, friendly service throughout our stay. Nice variety of restaurants, plus more to check out at the sister resorts (quick, easy shuttle from lobby to lobby). Fun shows each night. Our kids enjoyed the variety of pool options, from Waterpark with big slides and lazy river to multiple other pools and beach options to switch it up. Nice café option for coffee and sandwiches/snacks between meals. Best all inclusive weve stayed at! (3 kids, ages 9-11)

This resort is beautiful, but the service completely ruined our stay. We spent the entire afternoon waiting for a callback from the front desk that never came. We were transferred to the front desk six different times, and no one ever answered the phone. Check-in was also a disappointing experience. I couldn’t quite understand the front desk agent’s accent, so I didn’t immediately hand over my luggage ticket. Instead of being patient, she said she had “already said it five times” in a very annoyed and rude tone. To make matters worse, our room was filled with an unbelievable number of mosquitoes. We requested that someone come spray the room, but no one ever showed up. It’s such a shame because the resort itself is gorgeous, but the customer service is among the worst I’ve experienced. For a luxury resort, this level of service is completely unacceptable. We will not be returning, and I would not recommend staying here unless the management makes significant improvements to guest service.

When we arrived we were told check in isnt until 3pm, mind you we arrived 8am and had a long flight. We had to upgrade our room to a swim up suite and then we were able to check into pur room immediately. We chose Moon Palace Cancun for our first trip after seeing the beautiful photos of the beach, resort amenities, and nightly entertainment. The property itself is very nice, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of activities for families. However, there were a couple of disappointments. When we arrived, there were no evening shows or entertainment scheduled during our stay, which was one of the main reasons we booked the resort. Also, the beach on this side of Cancun was not what we expected. It was covered with a lot of seaweed, and the water was brown rather than the clear turquoise color shown in many photos. If you're looking for that classic Caribbean beach experience, be aware that you may need to travel to other areas. We ended up taking the ferry to Isla Mujeres to enjoy the beautiful white sand and crystal-clear water. Overall, it's a nice resort, but if beach quality and nightly shows are a big part of your vacation plans, it's worth doing a little extra research before booking.
