St George's Bay
Boasting a sandy beach ideal for sunbathing and family fun, St George's Bay nestles amidst the area of St Julian's and is centrally located to the hotels and entertainment district. With Malta's coast being largely made up of rocky beaches, this is a popular haunt for tourists and locals. St George's Bay is a 'Blue Flag beach' with options for water sports and plenty of cafes and bars leading from the area and into Paceville, its neighbouring holiday resort.
This is a small resort filled with shops at the Bay Street Centre, and hotels, bars and restaurants along with a cinema and bowling alley. Local craft shops, food and wine and a family entertainment centre can be found in and around the Bay Street centre and on the steps leading up the hill through to Paceville which has a much larger selection for the tourist trade.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The check-in process was smooth, and the reception staff were both efficient and very friendly, which made for a great first impression. The lobby area is also very nice, creating a welcoming atmosphere upon arrival.
The room itself was clean and comfortable. However, the mattress was not good at all and really affected the quality of sleep. I would highly suggest the hotel considers adding at least mattress toppers to improve comfort.
The sea view was quite limited due to trees in front of the balcony. I imagine this provides nice shade during the summer months, but in spring it does block the view quite a bit. If having a clear sea view is important, I would recommend requesting a room on a higher floor.
One downside was the room service. Although it is advertised, I found it very difficult to reach them—I tried calling five times without success, which was disappointing.
Breakfast was decent, and the restaurant area was clean and well-maintained. The spa facilities, however, were quite small and may not meet expectations if you’re looking for a more spacious wellness area.

It was a lovely experience and we enjoyed it every single day. Flavio at the reception was extremely kind, welcoming and helpful, which made our stay even better.
On the first day, we had booked a standard room, but the view was blocked and we wanted to change rooms. Kaj helped us upgrade to a sea view room, even though there were no rooms available at first. Truly excellent service and great effort from the team.
The manager was also very friendly, positive and always greeted us with a smile. Overall, amazing hospitality and a great experience. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful experience staying at this hotel. Its seafront location offers stunning views and creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, always willing to assist. Breakfast was tasty and diverse, with a wide selection to suit different preferences.
Everything was clean and well-kept, from the rooms to the shared areas, and the gym was modern and well-equipped.
Overall, a fantastic choice for anyone looking to enjoy a comfortable and relaxing stay by the sea.💙

We recently stayed at Salini Resort and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing.
While the hotel may look appealing in photos, the reality was far below expectations. The overall standard of cleanliness and maintenance was poor, especially when it came to the cleaners, cleaning our room. They barely changed our towels and toilet rolls.. We had to go and ask the cleaners ourselves to go and get them. If they did it would be around 4/5pm when we were in our room getting ready. They knocked once and I couldn’t hear it. I was stood there naked and had no apology.
The biggest issue throughout our stay was the attitude of the staff, particularly in the restaurant. The restaurant staff were consistently rude, unwelcoming, and made us feel uncomfortable from the start. Their attitude was dismissive and unnecessarily hostile, which completely ruined what should have been a relaxing experience.
What made this worse was the response from management. When we raised our concerns with the restaurant manager, he was completely dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than addressing the issue properly, he immediately grouped us in with “all the other young people” who had stayed there, which was both insulting and inappropriate. We felt judged from the outset and unfairly stereotyped simply because of our age.
To make matters worse, comments were also made about the way we were dressed, which was completely unacceptable. Being spoken to rudely and made to feel judged by staff in a hotel we had paid to stay in was both uncomfortable and disrespectful.
Overall, this was a very poor stay and far below what we expected. Between the rude restaurant staff, dismissive management, poor treatment, and substandard overall experience, we would not return and would not recommend this hotel.

A very pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff. After staying at the 5-star Barceló Fortina (which I would not recommend), I was genuinely surprised by how much better my experience was here.
The atmosphere is relaxing, the pool area is very nice, and the café is great. Even though the hotel is located by a road, it is still a comfortable place to relax and enjoy your stay.
Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Malta.
Activities
Besides the sandy beach ideal for sunbathing and water sports, St George's Bay also keeps holiday makers topped up with plenty of shopping and some light entertainment. Though a smaller resort, there are still bars and restaurants for leisurely evenings looking out over the numerous, colourful boats on the shore.
Further afield and visitors have the option to head to neighbouring Paceville considered to be Malta's capital for nightlife and partying. Walking is well within the realms but a bus service operates too.
Being located in the northerly part of St Julian's, visitors can make the most of all of St Julian's offerings such as the numerous restaurants, local entertainment, spectacular coastal views, boat trips, diving, snorkelling and many more water sports.
A day trip to Valletta during a St George holiday is recommended since it's only an 8 km journey . Known as 'The Fortress City' here is where an inspiring array of architecture can be explored, the impressive Grandmaster's Palace, the variety of imposing Military buildings, the Triton Fountain and the stunning water front are popular attractions, to name but a few.
