A stunning paradise with incredible marine life!
Malahini Kuda Bandos is a truly beautiful island in the Maldives that feels like a slice of paradise. If you are looking for a tropical getaway with gorgeous natural views, this place hits almost all the right notes!
The Island & Vibe: The island itself is absolutely gorgeous and covered in lush greenery. The weather was amazing throughout our stay, and there are plenty of incredible, relaxing spots right on the beach to just sit back, unwind, and take in the view. It’s perfect for anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle.
Rooms & Food: I was highly impressed with the accommodations and dining. The hotel rooms are amazing—clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed. The food was equally fantastic, offering great variety and wonderful flavors.
Area for Improvement: The only reason I am giving this 4 stars instead of 5 is the service. While the staff is very friendly and hospitable, the service itself can definitely be improved to be more prompt and attentive.
Overall, it is a must-visit place! Despite the minor service hiccups, the stunning beaches, vibrant sea life, great food, and relaxing atmosphere make it completely worth it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the Maldives!

My wife and I recently stayed at Malahini Kuda Bandos Resort, and it was truly an unforgettable experience.
From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by a warm, friendly, and professional team who made us feel at home throughout our stay. The hospitality was exceptional, and every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable holiday.
The island itself is beautiful, with crystal-clear turquoise waters, pristine beaches, and stunning views all around. The food was excellent, with a great variety of delicious options available every day. We were impressed by both the quality and the service at the restaurants.
One of the highlights of our trip was the range of water activities available. Whether it was snorkeling, diving, or simply enjoying the ocean, there was always something exciting to do. The marine life and underwater scenery were incredible and left a lasting impression on us.
This trip has given me a new passion for scuba diving, and I can’t think of a better place to have experienced it for the first time.
Thank you to the entire team at Malahini Kuda Bandos for making our Maldives vacation so special. We would happily recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing, beautiful, and unforgettable island getaway, and we hope to return again in the future.

I had an amazing experience at this place. We were there as a family of 5 and although we booked for four of us, they were really accommodating and they let us stay without any extra charges for our two infants and 5 year old. The food at the buffet restaurant was lovely and fresh, the staff member I remember is Swati who took the time to make conversation with us and my children. The resort itself was beautiful, very natural with chickens, parrots, lizards, crabs and we even saw a baby lemon shark! The children loved this experience and I’m so glad we chose it. The dolphin excursion was great too we saw a family of dolphins and it was only a 15 minute speed boat ride from the resort. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to experience a natural island. Thank you so much for the great experience and we would definitely visit again.

My experience at this hotel was unfortunately far below my expectations.
Every morning at around 6:00 a.m., I was woken up by loud roosters crowing around the hotel. Because of this, when breakfast started at 7:30 a.m., I only went to the restaurant to have a cup of coffee. Since I cannot eat immediately after waking up, I returned around 9:30 a.m. to have my actual breakfast. However, I was confronted by the receptionist, Subiha, for entering the breakfast area twice. Being woken up early by the roosters was completely beyond my control, so I found this treatment unfair and unnecessary.
There were also serious hygiene issues. I found insects in my room and I have photos as evidence. In addition, the hotel had a severe mosquito problem. Throughout my stay, I was constantly bitten, and my body ended up covered in mosquito bites.
Another issue was the hotel’s water policy. Only one 1-liter bottle of water was provided per day. Considering the hot weather, this was simply not enough. When I politely asked for additional water, Subiha responded in a very rude manner, saying, “We already put water in your room. How much more water do you want?”
The hotel has two different beaches. The beach with umbrellas was extremely wavy, so we preferred to use the other one. However, the sun loungers there were very uncomfortable, so we simply asked for a cushion. Instead of helping us, the staff told us to walk approximately 400 meters to the other beach and carry the cushion ourselves. I honestly couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Guests should not be expected to do the staff’s job. I even had to ask, “Are you serious? Is this a joke?” and remind them that I was a paying guest, not an employee
Overall, we never felt welcomed or valued during our stay. The staff’s attitude, the hygiene problems, and the poor level of service completely ruined our experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this hotel.

Our stay had both positive and disappointing aspects.
What we liked:
We appreciated being warmly welcomed and transferred to the island by speedboat. The staff were polite and generally helpful, and there was even a Russian-speaking employee, which was convenient.
We were especially grateful for the early check-in free of charge, as it was very helpful after a long journey.
The food was excellent and varied. Even a picky eater can find many delicious options every day.
We also enjoyed the wildlife on the island: geckos, herons, parrots, and even small reef sharks near the shore.
The room had some useful details, such as a drying rack for clothes, and both the room and restaurant provided complimentary umbrellas, which was helpful during the rainy season.
What we did not like:
At check-in, we were told that our stay included three complimentary one-hour activities: kayaking, sailing, and SUP boarding. However, later the marine service staff explained that kayaking was only allowed in the open ocean, not near the shore, and if assistance or an instructor was needed, activities would become chargeable. When we asked for clarification, we received inconsistent information. If there are restrictions or additional conditions, they should be explained clearly in advance.
The room had a strong sewage smell, and soundproofing was poor — we could hear outside noise. There was a rooster near our room crowing loudly every morning from around 4 a.m every few minutes, which made it impossible to sleep.
Housekeeping felt inconsistent: sometimes cleaning was partially done in the morning and partially in the evening. There was only soap, shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, nothing else. Towels were not always replaced, and one mug in the room appeared to have been left dirty by previous guests. Also clothes took several days to dry.
Unfortunately, we found a large cockroach in our room, which was really disgusting and made us feel uncomfortable.
The biggest disappointment was the beach. During our stay, there were strong waves, many rocks and corals underfoot, and the water was not always clear, making swimming uncomfortable. There's no swimming pool here.
It is also worth noting that many activities require additional payment, and evenings on the island felt very quiet and dark, so guests looking for entertainment may find the resort somewhat boring.
