The Hotel is surrounded by nice palm trees and a lot of nature which is lovely. The exterior looks good but the rooms need to be refreshed and mordenised from the furniture to the decorations, to match the price being charged and the 4 star tag. The rooms are very spacious though. The towels are worn out and clearly past their prime. The staff, like most people in Thailand, are genuinely warm and friendly, though the reception team could benefit from a refresher course on guest relations.
Breakfast was quite disappointing. The only basic breakfast items available were bread and cold eggs (they should consider preparing eggs on request instead of making a whole lot of them at once), while most of the other dishes were heavy meals more suited for lunch or dinner—mainly rice, noodles, and spaghetti. It’s unclear why they don’t offer typical Western breakfast options such as beans, hash browns, bacon, or sausages.
The hotel’s location, however, is excellent—close to the beach, lots of lovely restaurants, near local markets like Kata, and just a short trip to Patong for nightlife.

We are fairly enjoying our stay here!
Breakfasts have everything needed (including buckwheat and rice in case you got poisoned😁). Staff is friendly, if you need anything extra in the room, they are happy to help. Security are also friendly and smiling to guests! Location is also just perfect❤️
Things to be improved:
1. Quite often fresh fruit has a taste of ONION. Better if they can be cut on separate cutting boards
2. One cleaning lady was just perfect, but she was changed to another and the cleaning now leaves a lot to be desired: wet towels on the floor are not changed, floors not badly cleaned, but not cleaned at all (water from the shower, our footsteps are right where they we before cleaning). Even though, we always left some tips for them.
Apart from the above mentioned, we have no complaints and can recommend this hotel!

I stayed in the Sino Wing of The Old Phuket Hotel in Karon and really enjoyed the experience. The building has a lot of charm with its colonial-style design, and the room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The pool and garden areas were a lovely place to relax in the afternoons, and the hotel’s location made it easy to walk to the beach, shops, and restaurants without being in the middle of too much noise.
Breakfast had a good variety, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. Overall, the hotel offers great value for money, character, comfort, and convenience in one place. I’d happily stay here again.

Really enjoyed my stay at the Old Phuket Karin resort. Short walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants, shops, massage places and a mini-mart along the way.
Stayed in the Serene wing, the room was nice though the furniture and mattress felt a bit old.
Big balcony with nice chairs.
Staff were super helpful(Chai and Que)- special thanks to Chai for sorting out my Grab issue at checkout.

Great location, close to beach and about 10min walk to center of karon. 2 pools one rooftop with views of forest, second bigger pool sheltered by buildings. We stayed in sino suite, quiet private bed was a bit firm but still comfortable. Friendly staff and included breakfast. Would recommend good value.
