The staff whilst on our staff, we're brilliant. Interactive with children and hospitable 100% of the time, nothing to much for them to do!
Food was a great variety, location was far enough out the centre but close enough to travel each day. Free bus service daily. Tour buses are great value.. the centre was amazing !! Plenty to see and do. The facilities at the hotel were plentiful to keep you busy the whole time. Spa, sporting facilities nightly entertainment.. First time to Madiera , won't be the last .. great for families

Lovely hotel, staff really friendly and helpful. Felt really welcomed.
Hotel itself is very nice from it's marble entrance through to indoor water features and well thought out bar locations including a couple of self serve bars.
Felt very relaxed here.
Only criticism would be the 'modern bathroom' in our room. Call me old fashioned but having an open plan toilet is odd! No bathroom door and only a roller blind to separate the loo from the bed area.
Other than that, everything else was very very nice

From the very beginning, everything was handled perfectly. Every time I needed assistance, the staff was kind, attentive, and genuinely willing to help.
I would like to give special thanks to the hotel manager, Karina Mejias, for her understanding, care, and personal approach to my needs. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was comfortable during my stay.
Thanks to the wonderful team, my experience at the hotel was truly pleasant. I left with only positive impressions and would happily choose this hotel again.

My only regret is not having more time here. The hotel is lovely, close enough to the city that it only takes 15 mins on the free shuttle bus, but far enough out that you can walk along the seafront. All the staff have been lovely and there are so many trips you can do that pick up from the hotel. There is plenty to do if that is what you like, but there are also lovely sea views from the pool/hot tub if you prefer that kind of holiday.

Firstly, hotel is in a great location. The exterior and grounds are in a well looked after condition, props to the gardeners! Check in is easy and staff are friendly, polite and super informative. There are plenty of signs in the foyer with further information regarding bus times, menus, dining times, organised activities and spa treatments etc..
Rooms are clean and, in my experience, spacious enough. They contain tea making facilities, mini fridge, safe, television, and liquid soap + shampoo. Rooms are cleaned daily with towel and linen change on request.
There are a couple of outdoor pools (unheated), one of which has a swim up bar, an indoor pool, a jacuzzi, a small sauna and plenty of sun loungers.
A small gym is available.
There is a small library complete with seating and a coffee machine. A variety of books in various languages available as when people go home or finish their books they tend to leave them here.
The complimentary elevator to Praia Formosa beach is fantastic. I would very often walk to the Forum Shopping Centre on Estrada Monumental and come back via the Túnel das Poças do Gomes and take the lift back to the hotel rather than the steep walk back up!
The spa was clean with a good variety of services available. The staff were super friendly and superb at their job. Products used were great, I bought some for home and the scent gives me fond memories!
Different activities are organised daily, including bingo, wine tasting, poncha making, Portuguese lessons, aqua aerobics....to name a few. You are not obligated to join in so don't worry!
Food is plentiful and available for a long number of hours. If for any reason you are leaving the hotel for the day, perhaps a tour, a complimentary picnic will be provided upon request.
There are a number of coffee machines around the hotel which is great.
Tours can be booked direct from the hotel and staff are happy to do this for you and provide a great deal of information. I've been on several with no issues and highly recommend.
Every member of staff I have met from every department of this hotel has been friendly, polite, professional and a credit to the hotel. I cannot speak highly enough of them.
Overall, the hotels location is quiet enough that you really feel you're getting away from it all and properly relaxing but near enough to 'outside' activities like shopping, dining, lido etc that you don't feel you're missing out if that's your thing. Also a complimentary bus twice a day into Funchal and a variety of tours, many of which pick up from the hotel, means there are so many options to explore.
I'm probably missing/forgetting some things but I hope this gives you an idea.
Ive come back four times, it really is my happy place!
