It was really nice experience, the beach was white with very fine sand. The service was truly amazing. Specially thanks to Azad Rajbhar…… the food was offering variety of good Indian meals prepared to perfection every single day…. Honestly we don’t like South Indian food. Otherwise all food drink was very good. Special thanks for perfect cleanliness! Rooms was cleaned daily, the staff is incredibly friendly & responsive. All over we relaxed in luxury resort with the opportunity to be active.

We had an incredible stay at Outrigger Resort – the rooms were exceptionally spacious and comfortable, giving us plenty of space to unwind. The swimming pool area is gorgeous and well-maintained, perfect for lazy afternoons.
The entire staff is very polite and takes very good care.
But the real standout was the food! The entire spread of dishes and drinks was fabulous, with something delicious for every meal. Special shoutout to Azad, who made sure we never missed the taste of India – his super tasty Indian cuisine was a highlight, bursting with authentic flavors.
Topped off with stunning beach views right from our spot, this place is a dream. Highly recommend for a relaxing beach getaway!

I booked Outrigger Mauritius Beach Resort for 5 nights for my honeymoon, and I must say I’m really happy with the decision.
The hotel is located in South Mauritius, away from the city hustle and bustle, on a peaceful shore. The setting is calm and perfect for a relaxing holiday. The rooms are spacious, clean, and offer amazing views. Housekeeping maintains the property very well.
The service is top-notch and the staff is courteous, warm, and professional throughout the stay. There are several facilities and activities available within the resort, especially if you’re willing to wake up early and make the most of them. The private beach is a big highlight — it is never crowded and is a beautiful, peaceful place to sit late at night with your partner.
I also hired a Renault Kwid directly from the hotel for MUR 3,000 including full cover insurance, and it was very convenient. With that, I was able to comfortably explore North, South, and South-West Mauritius at my own pace.
There are, however, a few areas where improvement is possible. Due to the greenery around the property, there are quite a few insects and lizards in the area. A couple of times, I even noticed tiny lizards inside my room. While this may be expected in a tropical setting, it can still be slightly uncomfortable.
Additionally, the Indian food options at breakfast and dinner sometimes felt mismatched. For example, Chhole Rice was served at breakfast and Chhole Puri at dinner. Papad was available at breakfast, but at dinner no drinks — not even water — were complimentary. I am deducting one star specifically for not providing water free of charge during dinner.
I had also booked a Catamaran Cruise through the hotel for my last day, which unfortunately got cancelled the evening before the activity due to technical issues. This was quite disappointing and could have spoiled the final day of my trip. Thankfully, I managed to arrange a speedboat experience as an alternative to save the day. However, I feel the hotel should collaborate with service providers who can arrange backup boats or suitable replacements in case of technical failures, especially when such activities are booked well in advance.
Overall, it was a memorable honeymoon stay in a beautiful and peaceful setting, with excellent service and great facilities, though there are a few areas where operational improvements would enhance the overall guest experience.

This would have would have been a five star rating but as you can see I've given only 4 stars, here is why. I have booked this hotel for a night stay to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were allowed in at 1400 hours on the check in day but we arrived there at 15 00. Welcome drinks and explanation were great and we went to our room.
The room was a club beachfront on the first floor and the view was amazing. The guests taking suites or 'club' rooms have reserved access to the Restaurant/Private Space called Club V47 Restaurant. We have received a great tea time snacks and pastries enjoyed with cocktails and mocktails which were nice, served by Damini a nice host.
We had dinner in the Mercado Restaurant as we haven't booked V47 Restaurant prior the stay but the buffet of Mercado was excellent and the waiter Dileep was a great host and a very attentive guy.
The breakfast was reserved in V47 Restaurant and this was an amazing experience. We were attended by Dilson a very attentive host.
The only thing that was unfortunate was the small girl with blue or grey eyes who works in Bar Bleu refusing us one slushie because it was already checkout time. We were on 'All Inclusive' Plan and all this time we haven't gone to take not even 1 single drink at the main Bar Bleu and being refused for ONE slushie which is not even an Alcoholic drink was TERRIBLE!
I request the administration please look forward to this small girl working in Bar Blue. This really affected my experience with Outrigger Mauritius.

We really enjoyed our stay at Outrigger! I loved the grounds and the very spacious rooms along with the pool area and sun loungers with plenty of shade and umbrellas. The food was delicious as well! Special mention to Dinson at the Plantation Club who really goes out of his way for everyone! He is a true gem and an asset to the hotel. My only critique would be that there were much less Mauritians working at the hotel, especially at the bar and restaurants which takes away from our warm, local culture and friendliness. The new staff seemed a bit lost and it was sometimes difficult to converse with them... Otherwise we were very happy and would love to come back!
