I reserved two rooms here as it was near the park. However, it was 20 minutes too far from the old city for my family. The parking is okay but limited in availability. Also, the quarterly chimes from the nearby church could drive some more sensitive family members crazy at night.
The rooms are clean but certainly showing age in certain areas. Beware of the additional 5 euro delivery charge if you order any room service. You have the option to go to the bar and pick up your order for free.
Nice business hotel but not for a family vacation.

I had over 50 hotel nights with Hilton in 2025 as a Diamond member, and my experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Girona was without question the worst of them all. I am honestly shocked that this hotel carries the Hilton name.
At check-in, we were assigned a room where the heating and ventilation system could not be turned off. The ventilation was unbearably loud, making it impossible to relax or sleep properly. When we contacted reception, we were told that they could only shut the system off centrally, leaving us with zero control and requiring us to call the front desk every time we wanted heating again. This is not only inconvenient — it is completely unacceptable and absurd for any hotel, let alone a Hilton.
As a result of our complaint, we received an upgrade to a suite. Unfortunately, this turned out to be nothing more than a different disappointment. The suite was in a deplorable state:
– The shower button had fallen off
– The laminate flooring had large, visible gaps
– The furniture was worn out, stained, and clearly neglected
If I had paid the full price for this suite, I would have demanded an immediate room change or a refund. To make matters worse, all suites face the main road, meaning constant and intrusive traffic noise, making rest nearly impossible.
The breakfast experience was equally poor. Staff members appeared more interested in chatting among themselves than acknowledging guests or providing even basic service. There was no warmth, no attentiveness, and no sense of hospitality. This hotel severely lacks charm and shows little to no genuine interest in its guests.
The final disappointment came at check-out, where no one even bothered to ask how our stay had been — a perfect reflection of the overall indifference we experienced throughout our visit.
In summary, this stay was uncomfortable, poorly maintained, noisy, and completely devoid of service quality. From rooms to staff attitude, everything felt neglected. I can strongly advise against staying at this hotel and would not return under any circumstances.

Despite having to cancel our stay due to flight cancellations, our experience with DoubleTree by Hilton Girona was very positive. The staff, especially Pol Domenech from the front desk, was extremely understanding, professional, and helpful throughout the process.
Everything regarding the refund was explained clearly and handled smoothly, which we truly appreciated during a stressful situation. The communication was kind, prompt, and reassuring.
Although we could not stay this time, this level of service has left a great impression on us, and we would be happy to book again in the future. Highly recommended for their professionalism and excellent customer care.

Hotel itself is average. Located outside of city center. The weakest thing is the breakfast. A very poor selection of everything and below average quality products in my opinion. I wasn't greeted as a diamond member nor was explained the breakfast time. Cold in reception zone. This is not a Double Tree standard hotel and definitely doesn't deserve 4 stars.

TLDR: nice room and nice location, iffy customer service
The location was very good for our needs. There is a bus stop just a few feet away, which is a convenient way to get to the historic area of town. (Much better than trying to find parking down there.) There's also a grocery store within walking distance, as well as restaurants.
We were upgraded to a very nice suite. It was quite roomy and also relatively quiet, despite facing out onto a heavily trafficked road. The breakfast setup was also very good.
The parking was interesting, to say the least. The garage area for hotel guests is pretty narrow. We actually watched someone in a van scrape the side of their vehicle quite badly against a wall as they tried to maneuver into a spot. You may wish to ask to see the garage before paying to park, just in case it's a problem for your vehicle.
Where I mark the property down is on customer service. We just found the front desk staff to be quite disinterested. They seemed annoyed to be asked questions. Upon checking out, we did not receive a receipt for our stay via email, which is unusual for Hilton properties. We reached out by phone to ask about it, and were told that someone would get back to us. When there was no response after a few days, we sent an email to the hotel. It's now been 12 days since the email with no response. It's unfortunate, because everything else about the stay was quite good.
