I recently stayed at this hotel, and it’s clear why it’s considered one of the best. The location, cleanliness, and level of service were all excellent, and most of the amenities truly lived up to the high expectations.
However, there was one issue .Out of the two air conditioning units in the room, one was not working at all. While this might not seem critical at first, in the summer this would be a huge problem. Even during my stay, it made the room less comfortable than it should have been for a hotel of this standard. Allocated sun beds its perfect. Having a snakeria is a great idea. The food was delicious every single time at the restaurants. We are definitely coming back.

We recently stayed at the hotel with our two young daughters and had a mixed experience.
On the positive side, the staff were consistently polite and friendly, the hotel was clean and the food at the buffet was varied and enjoyable. We ate there for every meal and were happy with the quality. The location by the coastal walkway is also a real advantage for families.
However, the main reason we chose this hotel was for the advertised children’s programme and unfortunately, this was a major disappointment.
The kids’ club activities simply did not exist during our stay. There were no organised daytime activities, no structure, no themes and no mascot appearances at all, despite being heavily advertised. The “Little Monsters” and crèche programmes appeared to be non-existent. This felt like clear false advertising.
We also did not feel comfortable leaving our children in the kids’ club. The environment did not feel properly supervised, staff seemed distracted (phones) and the space itself was dark and uninviting.
The outdoor play area was in poor condition — visibly dirty, unused, and not safe for children, which is very concerning for a family-focused hotel.
In addition, there were ongoing maintenance issues across the hotel, with drilling and workers moving between rooms during the day, which made it difficult to manage nap times.
While the hotel has some strong points, the lack of a functioning children’s programme is a significant issue. We would not return and would advise families to reconsider if they are booking based on the advertised kids’ activities.

This hotel is gorgeous- just not our room. Everyone we have spoke to have returned here before or been to the sister company. We had a deluxe room(standard room) and had issues with rattling air con, ants in the bathroom and sewage smell coming up when the toilet was flushed. We did have to report to reception twice. The air con was sorted but bathroom we have given up with telling them. It’s a lot of money to spend even with just the standard room to have to put up with dodgy water smell. The food is amazing for an all inclusive, selection of drinks is also brilliant. The pool set up and being allocated sun beds is genius if people book and actually use them. Half of them are taken and never sat on. You can move if you don’t enjoy where you are. You are a short taxi ride to the harbour or a 30 minute walk. The beach is gorgeous and within a stone throw. I would return again but not to this hotel. It’s set up for weddings and so be prepared for sometimes being woken up as the wedding guests return to their room after a few drinks. But for me. I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday and place. Just the room let us down abit.
Update to this on the last night, after already complaining about ants. We had bugs in the bed and more ants than ever in the bedroom.
After 3-4 visits to reception I met the head of housekeeping who had the bed replaced, re made and room sprayed (as we were leaving early next day) and the manager just apologised and hoped we would return. They did say they were closing in October for 3 month maintenance work so if you are due to go- hopefully it’s improved.
We will no longer return to this hotel. But Paphos is delightful.

We stayed at the Olympic lagoon for my sisters wedding. Overall the hotel decor and experience was good however there were some major flaws that the management need to deal with. Unfortunately they opened too early after the refurbishment.
First issue was our electrics kept tripping which wouldn’t be such an issue if everything was controlled via the fancy electronic pads by the beds, we came back to the hotel room at 9pm to get our 5 month old ready for bed and all the lights wouldn’t go out and the aircon wasn’t working. The staff did send out a maintenance manager very quickly but this was the first issue.
On the third day when it started to rain we heard bubbling from our toilet and when we flushed it the water rose to the top and wouldn’t drain, my parents also had the same issue 5 doors down. Again the reception were great and sending someone to deal with this. The most significant thing was that sewage water came out of the bathroom into my mum and dads room all over the floor during the heavy rain on Sunday, they had to move rooms it was that bad and the smell was awful. It wasn’t also just there room multiple people had issues.
On this very rainy Sunday we went down for breakfast at 10am and the queue was all the way back in the corridor that we didn’t get sat down until 10:20 and the kitchen staff started packing away at 10:30 which was disappointing.
My friends also arrived for a week and were told there was no availability for any of the restaurants you could book for 2 people for their stay, this was only 2 days into their holiday. Another disappointment.
The hotel itself also has been rushed to get finished, you can see bits of DIY left and the stairs to go to the pool toilets for example has a bit section broken off.
On the positives every member of staff we encountered were amazing and helpful and it isn’t their fault for these errors but instead needs the management to sort the teething problems post refurbishment. They kindly left a bottle of fizz and fruit for us for the troubles but stuff needs to be sorted for future reservations by people.
The food was also absolutely delicious and they catered really well for gluten free and allergies, the cocktail menu was brilliant and premium spirits like Aperol were included which was great.

We had such a lovely week at this hotel. Check in was quick and friendly. We were given a cold drink and our luggage was taken to the room for us. We were lucky that we booked a room with our own pool, which i made good use of. The room was kept spotless by the lovel staff the fridge was always stocked with water and cold soft drinks. We only used the buffett and as a coeliac i have to say i had no worries at all. I had a meeting when i arrived and was shown round and if i wanted to have pizza/pasta they could make me some. Although i didnt as i always found plenty on offer. It wasnt busy while we were there and I had no issues at all. We also ate in the rock and roll diner. The snack place did some little.pots of creamed rice.pudding which i treated.myself to in the afternoon along with a iced coffee or vanilla milk. I did email before hand to let them know and as we arrived late at night they had left sandwhiches in the fridge for us including a gluten free one. All the staff were lovely and worked hard. We would for sure visit again .
