The Place was really nice and the staff all amazing and very helpful. The hotel is a little dated but the food, facilities and effort the staff puts in absolutely make up for that. We didn't enjoy the pools as the beach was just stunning. We went a bit around and the beach, however with pebbles, was the nicest we visit, full of fishes swimming around your feet! With two kids that was holiday's main occupation!!
Having a late flight back, it was great that you are allowed to use all the services including restaurants and the pools until all day after the check out. We were even offered to book a room to shower before leaving!
If you are looking for an honest place with a beautiful view and good food, here it is!

We were greeted with a warm welcome by a lovely lady. All staff were friendly and helpful. Food was brilliant, a great variety. The hotel was clean, and the maids regularly asked if we needed anything. Entertainment crew were great fun, engaging everyone to join in. The hotel had their own facilities at the beach which was lovely ! Reception was helpful with bus times, as the nearby road was not suitable to walk. A busy road without any pathways. People were around to help with excursions. We had a great holiday! Views were stunning !

This hotel is located on a very busy road with nowhere nearby to walk to. The communal areas are very dated and some underused. The beach is very nice and easy to swim in. The pool is at the top of nearby hill and attached to the hotel by a walkway and lots of steps. The children's pool is even higher up the hill and many steps. On the whole the staff are good, unfortunately the hotel was closing down completely at the end of our stay and this did reflect on the way some staff were, not smiling, very glum.

The hotel is old but very comfortable and clean. The food is very good and varied, the animators are at the highest level. The service is very nice and helpful, you can see that they like their job. Clean and safe beach and very nice pools. In addition, a beautiful view of the sea if you book a room from the front. The hotel is clearly geared towards families with children, who will surely leave satisfied. I definitely recommend it and hope to go back there again.

Our stay at the Ionian Sun was lovely. Initially we found the rooms tired, but functional. However the service the staff provided was brilliant. They couldn’t do enough to help us. They were friendly, energetic, empathetic and helpful. Julia in Guest Relations, Elvis and Sarah in the Animation team, Maria (always with a smile), Ionnas and the Manager and Chefs were always so helpful.
The rooms were tired by the Louis Group plan to refurbish the whole hotel over the winter. When it reopens, providing the staff are the same, this will be a fantastic hotel.
Activities
Benitses offers a stunning harbour where colourful boats and classy yachts are always moored. The sea and the mountains blend into a landscape that oozes purity and a sense of calm. The colourful array of flora and fauna, the history of the village, the friendliness of the locals and the countless ways to get about and explore this beautiful location is sure to appeal to any holiday maker. Motorbike and car rental are two popular modes of getting out and about as are hiking and bicycling. The green valley is dotted with isolated churches. Citrus trees and olive groves permeate the air and combined with the more modern tourist approach, there is plenty for the avid explorer to see.
Family themed breaks will be popular due to the array of water sports, shops, cafes, eateries, bars and more. Traditional and popular classics as well as Chinese food is all served in the restaurants of Benitses. Expect a beach style holiday in beautiful surroundings and all within the centre of Corfu making it easier to travel and discover the best bits of the whole island.
